  1. Anything less than 32,000 and we should seriously be thinking about Koeman going. *I've been on this forum too long. I've turned into a troll.
  2. This. He's a pretty good pundit tbf.
  3. So you just put the membership card in the scanner - and hope that you can remember where you are sitting?
  4. Has anyone tried to use their membership card to get into SMS for a game having bought it online? Got four tickets for the Everton game and selected print at home. Bizarrely three are print at home. Mine needs to be scanned using membership card. I assume that you just stick the membership card in the scanner.
  5. Newcastle 0 - 7 Southampton. 500-1 odds at the moment. Fancy a cheeky tenner?
  6. I would say the majority of games you'll probably be able to watch on firstrowsports if that could be an option?
  7. being born in 1996, it wasn't particularly worth it apparently.
  8. I am old enough to remember Gabriel, Steele et al. But for me the best centre back pairing I have seen was Lundekvam with Michael Svensson. Svensson's injury was the main reason we got relegated in 2005. His replacement was Jacobsen, who was abject.
  9. This is getting completely random. I received my membership card this morning. I bought two tickets using this number and my son's. Printed them at home quite happily. Didn't get charged the booking fee. I wouldn't expect you to be able to use the membership card to get you into the ground. It's just an acknowledgement that you have a membership and can therefore buy tickets ahead of general sale. What does get counted up against the membership number is the number of tickets that you buy during a season. I remember that the magic number was 6 to get a ticket for the 2003 cup final. Amazed at the time that it was so low.
  10. Any idea when Saints will sell their allocation? Nothing on web-site. I assume season ticket holders first, then members, then general sale
  11. Just read the following on BBC website: 'Only current three top-flight stadiums, Swansea, Bournemouth and Leicester, provided the required number of wheelchair spaces' Really surprised that we are not one of the good guys, especially as Leicester's stadium (whatever it's called this week) is a copy of SMS. I seem to remember Rupert Lowe ensuring that SMS had the right number of disabled spaces when it was built Any ideas?
  12. South Today woeful. Have you only just noticed?
  13. We've had this one before. The answer for Saints fans of a certain age is Adrian Heath at Highbury in the cup semi-final in 1984. I was stood at the clock end and the collective sense of disappointment was horrible.
  14. Most of the goals I can think of have already been mentioned. For games I was at: Kamara v Norwich in 2005. Noise was deafening. Billy Sharp's second v Skates in 2012. Tadic at Old Trafford last season was pretty good. For games I wasn't at, I can't remember anyone mentioning the second goal v Watford in the cup semi in 2003
  15. I like SMS. I know that there was talk of the gravel plant across the road moving, but I have heard nothing recently. Opening up the waterfront would be excellent.

    New Keeper

Anybody heard anything? I know that Saints keep deals quiet until they happen, but I haven't even heard any rumours. Any thoughts?
  17. Is it just me, or does the new premier league table just look weird - Arsenal, Aston Villa, Bournemouth,... Still looks like a massive typo. Hope they don't get too embarrassed - as long we get 6 points from them
  18. Agree on QPR, although I rather enjoyed the trip to Old Trafford. Apart from the result, the crowd organisation and stewarding were very good. Got to disagree about Hull. My son went this year and vowed never to go again. Shame Fulham aren't in the Premier League any more as trips there are excellent.
  19. Who were the TV pundits by the table at half time in front of the Kingsland-Northam corner? I assume that someone had a Pompey connection but from the back of the Chapel I had no idea who it was.
  20. Wasn't expecting a game like that at all. Why were Villa pressing so high up the pitch? Sherwood is clearly a tactical genius. There was acres of space behind the Villa back line that Mane and Long could run into. Second half we just sat back and let Villa play in front of us. Mane and Long were fantastic. Pelle had a good game as well. Back to how it was in the Autumn.
  21. Don't we need two keepers? I can't see Davis playing on next season. Agree with the comments about Heaton. Him permanently and another on loan would work.
  22. Saw Michael McIntyre at the Mayflower last night. Turns out to be a Spurs supporter. He did a very funny take-off of Mane losing his feet. Mane is going to get a reputation as a diver if he is not careful, which means that he won't get the genuine fouls against him. Michael McIntyre's Pelle impersonation was also very funny with a gag about his concern for his hair.
  23. Fair enough. Difficult to see from the back of the Chapel. Agree about Mane's diving.
  24. Watford is a good away day - although might be difficult to get tickets as Vicarage Road only holds 20,000 Bournemouth win one of their last two games and they will be in the Premier League. They have done fantastically well to get where they have. As long as we get 6 points from them next season. Local media will build up a rivalry that just isn't there.
  25. One that got away. Should have won based on chances. Fonte hit the bar twice, and Davis missed two clear chances. KD is an honest pro, but I think that Forster would have saved at least one of the Spurs goals. The second one especially was a bad one to concede. Referee was poor. From my view in the Chapel it looked as if one of the Spurs defenders (who had already been booked) put an arm in Mane's face, but the ref just waved it away. Looked like he bottled it.
