I think this is reading too much into things actually. It read to me that the players were dispirited (for whatever reason) after AP was sacked (as they clearly were) and NA has come in and brought the smiles back......simple! It actually tells or hints at nothing more at all!

I'm quietly very happy with this appointment and hopeful that we can now progress well this season and gain promotion. I believe NA can grow with the club as we progress up the league(s). I think it may prove a very astute decision.

Last night SSN reported that S****horpe had given permission for Southampton to open talks with Nigel Adkins. It came on around midnight I think, I was up working and left SSN on in case anything came through.......

SSN last night reported Saints have been given permission by S****horpe to open talks with Nigel Adkins. If true, that surely means he has already been interviewed and now discussion re terms etc doesn't it?

If true, then I'd take any of those at the moment except Phil Brown. MoN would be awesome! Also I reckon Adkins would do a good job.....if interviewed and appointed

To be fair to NC, some people are saying he will spin it as he wants, yet as far as I am aware he's not said anything at all. Maybe keeping a dignified silence? Who really knows what happened, some say this some say something opposite, all with good and reliable 'sources' Maybe we should just wait and see before jumping to conclusions either way? Some will inevitably end up with egg on faces..... I would have thought that someone who gains absolute trust from a man as astute as ML isn't going to be naive, no matter else might be the case. PS I'm really disappointed AP has gone!

Exactly what went through my mind too! Still, this is just a rumour.......

I still think we will be surprised when the new man is announced.....I am finding it very hard to believe anything as disappointing and demoralising as appointing Hart will happen. My gut tells me it will come out of the blue! And now I really hope that's true!
