I guess what I'm saying is that we're not Man U or Arsenal are we? so we are not so attractive for the better quality players (at the moment) and we are probably having to wait for other things to happen (or not) before we can conclude deals. I just don't think it's as simple for a newly promoted club to get a player just because they want him. You would agree with that, no?

Because there is more competition and the players are maybe looking for more established clubs to come in for them? They'll need to be convinced we are going to be successful......people are saying we are being too ambitious and these players won't come. If we can get one then possibly others will follow.....

Maybe Reading didn't aim for as high a quality player as we a re looking at and therefore it was easier to get them in? It's possible! If we end up with another couple of real quality signings then people will be happy, the truth is we really don't know what's going on behind the scenes and people are getting frustrated. The time to moan is when the window has closed IMO.

I agree! Can't wait to see him in action. His touch and awareness looked genuine quality and took me by surprise. I think he could be a key player for us this season

Not worried, happy with the quality of players we seem to be looking at in terms of hunger, potential and attitude, top end championship players etc. That's what Swansea and Norwich did last year and those we bring in with the right attitude and team spirit will only improve, and improve together........I think (hope) we may surprise a lot of people this season......

I thought the last real news was that the clubs had agreed a deal and then he would come to Saints for a medical sometime this week before signing, no?!

Good question. I was wondering what we got for coming second, as WH now have a trophy for winning the play-offs. Seems strange if Play-off winners get a trophy and nothing for coming second!

Once in the build up when they started showing Saints history on video just before the game. It really got to me how much I love this club and the good times we have experienced.....

I thought Guly put in a lot of effort yesterday and id fr better than some on here suggest. I think we must be watching different games most of the time. The manager thinks him good enough to put him in the team and I think he might be just a bit better qualified to judge than the rest of us put together don't you?!

I don't understand why people are so hard on Guly, he's done better than many of our side today....
