  1. Scrub that, apparently my colleague next to me informs me I'm talking rubbish! Apologies!
  2. Pretty sure he can't play tomorrow as signed after the draw was made ... although would love to be proved wrong!!
  3. Lowest point had to be when the whole Pinnacle debacle finally become more than just a niggling doubt. Seeing MLT dragged down with it simply made it worse. For me things have only got better from the moment ML came on the scene. Yes we started with some poor form but it was always going to happen because of the **** left in the side. Rome was never going to be built in a day, but the appointment of NC for me was the key moment when things really started looking brighter. A businessman who knows his arse from his elbow ... financial backing by a man with REAL money ... A decent manager who knows how to compete in Div.1 ... Happy days! Still think there will be some low days on the horizon when the team doesn't quite perform. But I am going to be happy with mid-table this year and an all out assault from game 1 next year!
  4. Be out of the relegation zone by Christmas with a side which is then playing as Pardew wants. Add to the squad again in the second transfer window to fix any weaknesses. Finish the season somewhere around 12th with a squad most of whom have had a season playing together and know how the manager wants to play. Have a good pre-season (that'll be a first!) fine tuning. Start next season on a flyer in what turns out to be our promotion season. And for what its worth, you won't hear a peep from me complaining about the manager until Christmas at the earliest. In my humble opinion you can't turn round the utter dross Pardew inherited in any less than 3 months.
  5. Really? Yes, I'm gutted at conceding yet another late goal ... Yes, I'm going to be a grumpy sod for the rest of the weekend for letting another two points slip ... Yes, I'm p*****d off that we are still 11 points from safety ... But can you judge Pardew on 5 games? No Can you realistically expect him to turn round a useless team in just over a month? No Was the football from Saints today better than we saw at pretty much any point last season? Yes Is there signs of improvement in key areas of weakness? In some yes, in some no. Anyone with an once of realism will have known from minute one of the season that nobody could turn round our fortunes overnight. It was never going to be easy, we won't get promotions, but it will turn round and we will be safe this season. Get real, and get behind the team.
  6. Fantastic news ... I rarely post, but some things just need recognition. I was beginning to think my unborn child was going to be born into a world without my beloved saints, now I can buy that 1st saints shirt so they can have the same years of roller coaster emotions as I have had. Even better though they are going to be starting from a position where everything will be moving upwards, happy days! I have no questions to ask about managers, appeals and players. If that letter shows anything it is that we finally have people in charge who understand what it is to support a football team and I for one intend to trust their judgement and let them get on with running the team, while I back the Red and White ... COYR!
