  1. Yes (4th one on right) - I've also got Firefox installed. Very frustrating - it was the club that told me to install Google Chrome. I have a Mac OS version 5 by the way.
  2. I haven't been able to get live commentary this season yet. It keeps saying "This event no longer exists". I've uninstalled and then reinstalled Flash Player and I've installed Google Chrome but no joy. Any ideas? Cheers
  3. Rubbish. I've heard one OWTSGMI so why haven't I heard ten?
  4. Saints fans = embarassment
  5. Have we got any fans there? Dreadful support. Reinforces my post yesterday (message from an old git).
  6. St.sj - football is a tribal sport, unlike any other. It's tribal nature is the essence of the game and its what makes for a great atmosphere. Its what makes the hair on the back of your neck stand up and its what makes you shout your head off for ninety odd minutes. What your describing is rugby. Where people sit politely and clap with little emotional attachment. You've slept your way through the last 50 years. Wake up before its too late.
  7. If I'm honest, I don't really know what to make of Saints fans these days. When I first started going (70's & early 80's), most Saints fans were always up for it. Very vocal, quite aggressive and not backing down very often. Teams hated coming to the Dell and also respected us away from home. I truly believe that as a result, we got the team we deserved and they were successful. Passion equals success. These days a good number of Saints fans seem fairly quite and could be watching the telly, not watching a great team you'd kill for (not literally). I've done my bit for Saints and now its your turn to show the football world what you're made of. Being a Saints fan means many things but one thing it means equal to if not above all others, is to hate the Skates with a passion. So on Sunday, be loud, be aggressive and be proud to be a Saints fan till you die.
  8. OK Right. I'm no expert here but I do know that s.55 doesn't give HMRC carte blanche to make any assessment (or amendment) they please and for that to be "due and payable". It has to be fairly and reasonably assessed and HMRC have to give consideration to all the circumstances at the time of the assessment or amendment. For me therefore, it all rests on whether the image rights are fairly and reasonably assessed with consideration of all the circumstances at the time of the assessment or amendment. I only have limited knowledge in this area - which could be dangerous!
  9. Yes that's correct, by taxable I mean giving rise to a liability. I haven't been following the detail of this case so don't immediately understand the s.55 point. I understood s.55 to outline the process available to an appellent.
  10. With respect tax avoidance (= planning) is fine, tax evasion is illegal. This hearing isn't about whether the football creditor preference is right or wrong (that hearing is in November) it is about whether HMRC can get across the 25% of total creditor threshold and therefore strike out the CVA. Therefore it will depend on whether the Judge finds that some or all of the image rights income is taxable or not. If he finds that sufficient tax is payable so as to get HMRC across the 25% threshold then the CVA is dead in the water and the adminsitrator will have to act accordigly - if he can't find a quick buyer then liquidation beckons. Pompey should be fine because anyone carrying out this sort of tax planning should have run it past UK tax counsel to sign it off as legitimate. If they didn't then are incredibly stupid and derserve all they get.
  11. Of course fans have the right complain about things but those 'things' should be real tangible 'things' i.e. the booking fee. The problem at the moment seems to be that someone posts some ridiculous unfounded rumour based on opinion and it takes on a life of its own as people add further fuel to the fire. This can result in an unecessary negative perspective which takes the shine off the progress we've made.
  12. I think a major problem on this forum Yorkie is that no one seems to get any information from anywhere in order to substantiate this and other ridiculous rumours i.e. AP will be gone by Christmas no matter what - which was yesterday's fairy tale.
  13. I'm sorry but I just don't see any news here. We know NC has strongly criticised the FL and will continue to do so. He's entitled to his opinion and to put that accross to the other 71 FL chairman. So what?
  14. No all are responsible for these unsettling and frankly stupid rumours, those that start them and those that perpetuate them .... including Duncan. Besides if we are at the top and playing brilliantly there is no way NC will get rid of AP. Shame on all you rumour mongers.
  15. What I want to know is, who decides which player gets which number? Definitive answer please, not opnions.
