He was interviewed for the job a few seasons ago but obviously didn't get the gig and has had a bit of a chip on his shoulder since...

I've got an area of what can only be descibed as wasteland next to my house, so I've decided to bulid a lean to man cave as a project. Going to be about 6m long by 2.5m wide. A bit unsure about the uprights and how to fix them. First off I was thinking 5 would be enough? As to fixing them, I was thinking of using metposts but I've heard bad reports about them although they look a fairly simple solution. Dig holes and postcrete them in? If I did it this way how deep would I need to go given I want it about 2m high, and how easy is would it be then to get them all the same height? Or do the concrete floor first and bolt post holders to it? THat would solve the level problem but how deep concrete would I need for the bolts not to break out? Thanks in advance

In fairness we did try to give Ben Thatcher freedom of the city...

Easyjet have apparently been keen to get into SOU for some time but with Flybe taking all the slots there's been no capacity, not great for the employees of flybe but would be great business for the airport Be careful what you wish for

Looking for some advice. I want to bulid a lean to shed against the side of my house. Dimensions roughly 6m x 3.5m. Thinking of using metposts for the uprights. How many uprights would I need for that length , and what size timber should I be looking at for the uprights I'm thinking 4x4?, the spar across the house wall and the roof joists, 4x2?? Thanks on advance

Can't see it needing 40 this year. 36/38 maybe?

Indeed, an excellent if somewhat terrifying, read.Good series based on it not long ago too. I guess the real difference is that if Ebola ever properly broke out of Africa it would probably end the human race, whereas coronavirus will just give most people a sore throat and a runny nose...

Did you try calling the services? On any motorway you are never more than 500m or so from an emergency phone. Hop over the barrier, walk to the nearest phone, job done

Yet no one loses their mind about people breaking down on a dual carriageway. 70mph limit, no hard shoulder (or very few). Whats the difference? I'm a professional driver, upwards of 70k a year. Smart motorways are not the problem, the idiots that use them that can't read/obey signs are.

Saints 2 Huddersfield 0 - Match & Reactions Thread
Huffton replied to St Chalet's topic in The Saints
As much as I dislike Boufal, can someone explain to me why the penalty shout wasn't looked at by VAR, yet we have a perfectly looking goal chalked off because Long had a nasal hair offside? From here I was sat in the Kingsland corner it looked a pen all day long -
The funniest thing was the thick ****s throwing the ball away so our players couldn't take a throw, while losing at home. Absolute morons...
-
I loke the look of that, Obafemi could cause those carthorses big problems!
-
The 1st goal will be key, we get an early one and it will be a cricket score, if we let them get one we will be in for a game. An early goal or two and the worlds greatest who never ever turn on their players or manager will turn on their players and manager

I've heard a whisper that Princess Coaches have lost the contract to supply the official away travel this season, anyone know who might be taking it over?

I don't understand his motivation. He must have known it would **** Saints fans off massively, fans that have sung his name, and stood by him while he has basically stole a living laying on a treatment table and posting pictures of his latest beach holiday. If you want to leave then leave, why alienate the very people who help pay your wages? I hope he doesn't find another club now and just rots his career away.
-
I will actually bw quite happy if they do get promoted. The gulf between L1 and the Championship has grown massively since we went up through. If they don't invest a ridiculous sum on the playing squad then taht team will get dry raped every week. If they do somehow find the money to improve the squad then sooner or later this thread goes back to the start. Win win!

Am I right in thinking that those trim wheels on the 737 have no power assistance, so you're trying to fight the wheel against aerodynamic forces manually?

At least we didn't concede in the last minute... #takethepositives:rolleyes:

There's at least 20 points we should take from those games. But then we 'should' have beaten Cardiff...

I work with a bunch of them who have understandably been giving me a fair bit of stick lately about how they can't wait to smash us again next season yada yada.. All been strangely quiet today for some reason...
-
That he's changed things this much in three games shows just how bad the previous appointments were
-
I'm not sure which will be funnier, them missing out on promotion by loss in the play offs, or them getting promoted then getting utterly battered each week in the Championship, which is what will happen if they don't find some major investment to improve the squad.

Crap, we might be bad but there is a massive gulf still. Draw at best at ****pipes park, we would murder them at SMS
