Just seen the Olsson 'challenge' from fhe tv angle. I take it back, was virtually gbh with intent, could easily have been a straight red.
-
Have to disagree. Lovren went right over the ball and into Longs leg studs up. Had that been the other way round we would have been screaming for a straight red. Equally as cynical as Olssons challenge was we had both centre backs covering a fair bit deeper, so a yellow was the correct decision.

Ok, so stewards come in for a lot of crap from supporters, particularly on web forums. And now and then you do come across one who thinks his jacket makes him ruler of king and kingdom. But today I want to look at things from a different point of view. It would seem from reports that someones life has quite possibly been saved, yes by the emergency services and medical experts, but also by the stewards working that part of the ground. If any of you read this, well done people!

Great news, thanks for keeping us updated

Had to walk right past it to get out, not going to speculate as I'm not a medic but it didn't look good. Best wishes to whoever it is.

Yeah its a bit annoying to say the least. Thought it had finally recovered but went again today so I think its time to admit defeat and just concentrate on golf! Im in Calmore mate.

Due to a screwed up knee I am having to give up cycling so I have a set of Tacx Antares indoor rollers for sale. Only been used once so still in brand new condition. Cost over £140 new, I will accept £100 for them

Just been having a chat with a mate who is a copper about it. Hants constabulary can and do dictate kick off times, so assuming the rules are the same oop north then Northumbria have dropped a bit of a bollock there. However, ref the bubble trips, the police can also insist on that and if the clubs refuse they can just stop the match going ahead. So probably a bit silly of the clubs to come out with that statement.

Cheers, useless but I did chuckle!

As in the title. I need a driveway constructed. Looking at gravel/shingle, roughly 6mx7m. Its grass at the moment. Had a couple of quotes so far but theyve been silly money. Need it doing asap and have pound notes waiting. Anyone interested?

I thought the police has to sign off the stadium safety certificate for each game? If thats the case and they dig their heels in then the game won't be allowed to go ahead.

FA Cup 4th round draw - Sunday 2pm - HOME v YEOVIL TOWN
Huffton replied to The Kraken's topic in The Saints
How many do we have to give them, given that we're shutting nearly a third of the ground? -

Because of the crap turnout for the Burnley game, a top end championship side. With the greatest of respect to Yeovil I'm sure Saints v Burnley would get a bigger home crowd. -

£20 is bad pricing for this. Yeovil obviously get a say but this is a bit silly IMO. They are shutting parts of the ground, I can't see them getting more than 10K at that price. Why don't they use a bit of common sense, price it better and fill the ground, both teams would be better off. -
No one intentionally handballs it in the area, because a deliberate pre meditated handball is a red card offence. Surely if the hand/arm is away from the body its a handball, for ****enburg to say different is a nonsense and shows he's not up to the job as he doesn't know the most basic of rules.

He got hurt after about 10 mins. Could explain his lack of pace?

I enjoy flight simulators, particularly Flight Sim X and its various add ons. Things like that could never work on a console.

I see your Ramirez and raise you a Calum Davenport...

Thought it was an enjoyable game, good value for money. In all fairness Saints didn't rally get out of second gear, and didn't need to. We happily kept them at arms length ans seemed content to let them chase around and wear themselves out early on, then hit them with two quick goals which really should have finished the game. Would have been interesting if they then took the lead but Davis pulled off a worldy. Then went and grabbed another couple of goals to put it to bed, let them get a sneaky one back but we never looked out of control. The main points for me were: Kelvin, not his best day at the office but made up for it with a couple of decent stops, and one worldy Jos, awful Yoshida, not much better Gaston, don't know what to say. Clearly a huge talent but just doesn't seem to fit in with our style. Think we should cash in now and re-invest.

Just sent a join request as well. Planning to get back into some proper riding this year so this should add a bit of motivation!

Footballers can be a bit precious at times. 'Oh the ref said a nasty word to me', after you've just called him every swear word under the sun. Not saying Adam did but it happens in most cases. What worries me more is Clattenburg admits to either not knowing the rules, or just plain cheating by not giving the penalty. But the PL won't do anything, its an old boys club and they are all above reproach.

Have to say the last two games he has looked every bit a premiership goalkeeper. Didn't get a clear view of their third today so can't comment but that aside he's made a few tidy saves, has commanded his box well enough, quick off his line and his distribution has been excellent. Ive been saying for a while I would like to see how he plays behind a decent defence finally, given that his previous prem experience has been behind a sieve and a lump of swiss cheese. Maybe we don't need to be so hasty in the transfer market after all?
