  1. We were out fought today and really missed Pelle up front. The only positive is that at least we have him back for Saturday. Forster his now having to earn his pay. Being worked hard. Had to make some good saves. Looks like there was something going on on the touchline. Koemans did not shake Clough's hand. Unlike him.. Some new blood needed in January I think to give us a boost. We need it.
  2. Know all!
  3. I remember in 1968 while visiting a mate at UNI in London we wanted to go to a London game. So off we went to Upton Park to watch WHU play Sunderland. Of course Moore, Peters and Hurst were all playing. Would you believe that WHU beat Sunderland 8-0 that day and Hurst scored 5.
  4. I don't know what everyone else thinks but I thought that Chambers was very ordinary. Poor positional play, could not take on the full back when bombing forward and several wayward passes. I think Clyne should at least been given a half. What a boring game that was.
  5. Just back from the game. A bit scrappy I thought and at times Spurs looked like the away side trying to get us on the break. Some Spurs fans after the game were not impressed by their team. Definitely got a bit bogged down in midfield. They seemed to win more of the second ball. Most of the players seemed slightly below par to me. But a draw would not have been unfair. What a miss by Mane though.
  6. Trying to make as point.. Clearly missed the target. I would not have Spurs down as a "Traditional Top Six". Have flirted with the lower half of the league on several occasions,
  7. Tottenham are 8th!
  8. Wrong about Liverpool V Saints being the only game. I was in Seattle when Saints were away to WHU and we found it on the Cable Service. You could select whichever game you wanted. Only thing was it was 1 hour later than actual Kick-Off but they did show the whole game.
  9. Great to see a manager who has a Plan B. I can't remember seeing one of those for a long time..
  10. Yes.. But it didn't always work as teams got used to it and developed good tactics to counter-act it. He did have one style and that is dangerous. So far they have beaten WHU and QPR. Let's see how he goes with the better sides. My bet is they will finish 6th.
  11. I think that when we get Ramirez and J-Rod back to full throttle and get a couple of signings this week i.e a Winger and Defender then I will be more than happy. The challenge will be bedding the new players in to a new system. I believe in RK. He is intelligent, honest and articulate. He gave no excuses about Saturday's performance where some managers would have.
  12. I wondered what had happened. Tried phoning, texting.. No worries, it was a poor game and not worth the money. Definitely looked like a team that needs to get to know each other. Pelle looked poor in the first half. Could not time his headers at all. Got better in the second half but he was isolated in my view. We had no real threat down the flanks which we need to sort this week. A wide man is a must.

  14. Hi.. Ah, probably because I am not a full member. I don't pay the £5 for unlimited posts. Maybe that's why.. Can't seem to find a setting that enables it.. Any ideas..
  15. Have a spare ticket for Saturday in the Kingsland Stand. Send me a message if you want it..
  16. I have just watched it and I got the same feeling. He has a passion for Saints. On Sky they also showed parts of this interview where he said that the owner had decided to make some changes that maybe would not go well. I just feel that the big issue with RL and others was the departure of NC who seemed to have a rapport with the players at the expense of others such as Francis Benali and MLT who are club legends. Perhaps a ruthless man who was taking us on a dangerous journey. My guess is that KL spotted that and wanted to create an organisational model that was based on teamwork rather than dictatorship.

  18. Better off keeping Billy Sharp.
  19. MS is in danger of ending up in the reserves. If Lovren is worth £20 million then so is Morgan. Spurs won't pay that so they can go away. All clubs will have several options so Spurs will end up looking elsewhere. I hope he's smart enough to get it.
  20. The tackle did not look malicious to me. Just bad luck in my view.
  21. Who had heard of Lovren when he arrived. Could be another excellent signing.
  22. His CV looks impressive so has potential but not given the opportunities as most English players at Chelsea. Has played for England at all levels and also CL final. I think it looks a good move. May be saving the money for 2 or 3 big signings. That works for me.
  23. I have been a Saints fan for nearly 60 years. I am just enjoying the roller coaster at the moment. Listen you lot, when you've watched Saints playing in the 3rd Division South and more recently Division 1 you can only look at this and wonder how we managed to get here. But we did and people continue to slash their wrists. Well, it's their problem. I will continue to give the club my unconditional support. Whatever you say about Saints, it's never dull.
  24. Well said!!
  25. I bet it took him hours to compose that announcement. Content free which highlights what he really thinks.
