Hey I played Saturday park football after a company Xmas **** up in london where I didn't get back home 'til 7 the next morning......had to sick up in the goal during the first half though

Cripes Mike, if you think the football this season is sterile what must it have been for the last 3-4 seasons?? I think the main point is that, despite playing better [than last season] football, we are still losing. The team needs to start winning to get bums back on seats. It's a shame our fans aren't like the Man City and Leeds ones that filled their respective Stadia during their visits to the lower leagues

Agree, the football I have seen this season, whilst not the best, is better than most of that served up in the last couple of years by our ageing journeymen. I would be there but for the fact (even living in Poole) that it costs me the better part of £50 to watch a match. The purse strings (read wife) will loosen for every third or so match but I have spent my monthly 'sports entertainment' allowance on the American Football game at Wembley this year (and is that expensive or what??). Shame really because I am looking forward to comparing Watford's youth policy against ours

He's generally bought foreigners in cheap, initially Eastern Bloc then African, and some have worked, most haven't. As for RL not supporting HR in the January window. I state again, Redknapp, Quashie, Bernard, Camara and how about this snippet when he was trying to get Andy Reid in And weren't we chasing Mido too??? Talk about rewriting history. I guess you're referring to th £70K that HR spent AFTER we were relegated. How much did HR splash in the january transfer window, BEFORE we were relegated, on loan players and permmies, Quashie, Davenport, Redknapp etc. etc. etc. etc.

Aye it is computerised BUT haven't they tries to make the Christmas and Easter fixtures 'local' ones hence they may have had to jig a few others around to accommodate that. Last year we didn't play S****horpe until Jan either and we'd played a few other teams twice already before them..

IIRC we played Sheff Weds H & A within quick succession last season. But yes it is correct, 24 days between matches...and the one away leg on the box too (another loss then ) EDIT : Just checked and the Sheff Weds games were 24 days apart last season, so no it's not a new record if it ever was

Please tell me how :- a) He could have helped when he's still injured. b) We could have stopped him walking once it was known that a Premiership club was in form him, offering him much much more filthy lucre than we could afford!! we lost because we gave away a soft penalty whilst our midfield and forwards had a case of the TV jitters. IIRC the penalty was awarded due to a bad tackle at right-back by one of our MIDfielders, where does left back come into that equation??
