We DON'T HAVE to sell our youngsters, we HAVE to sell some players to stay afloat. It doesn't have to be the youngsters. I'm sure that the board would like to ensure that we don't have to have GR's or MS' or SJ's wages back on the bill but if we don't get any bids for them what can we do. Unfortunately we can only sell players that have had bids in for them.

Apart from the big metal bar that runs down the corner to stop away fans getting into the home fans. I guess the could replace 200 or so seats in the Itchen with that black meshing stuff but then the aways fans would also be under the corp boxes, can't see that being accepted either. And the move isn't something new, it's been done for every home cup game at SMS. The away allocations change 10% for league 15% for cup matches. I'm sure that the block 42ers know this and have been warned about it! Annoying yes, but not done to deliberately wind up the fans!!

Would never work, Andy Gray would just whinge about how the ref is ruining the game by giving out so many cards. Just like he did the other day when the Man City players kept getting yellow carded for encroachment when the Hull player was trying to take the free kicks. IMHO the only wau the players will learn is if they get sent off, I don't care if it 'ruins the game' for the pundits. The players will soon learn and stop doing it. But then I am aspiring some levels of nouse to the players..

I treat them as I treat our current government, the best of a bad choice. I hated that comedian (whose name has gone to lala land at the mo) we had with a passion but I didn't stop going to games because of him.

I expect that Player's wages will account for a fair proportion of that. I doubt if they had players on £15K+ per week, more likely their highest earner is prob on £2-3k....
