  1. Almost 10,000 empty seats yesterday. For a team doing so well is there not an underlying problem that many fans this season are staying away because of the many charges, taxes, or whatever you want to call it levied by the club. What will happen if the results dive.
  2. At last someone on here can see through the nonsense that has been talked about the present executive. Hooray !! Abuse please as usual.
  3. I happen to agree with you Roger that is why I am not at St Marys today but leave all that aside. Do you see the sort of abuse that comes your way when you dare to put up a perfectly valid opinion. A forum is an arena to debate the issues. This forum is an arena to hurl bile and vitriole when someone doesnt agree with your point of view. Someday it might return to what it should be but dont hold your breath.
  4. Absolutely correct Whitey
  5. you are all quite right much better that me and people like me dissapear into the sunset bye bye. I have become dissillusioned and sad. good luck to you all
  6. All of them as I have packed up after more than 50 years. Refuse to be continually ripped off by the present executive.
  7. Don't expect any customer service and you won't be dissapointed. The fans don't rate very highly in the overall thinking.
  8. I thought we were in a recession. What business is going to pay these prices. I watch with interest.
  9. What a joke. What amazes me is how so many fans stand for the rip off price hikes that are going on at present.
  10. Exactly our point. Sorry if some of you dont agree and from some posters thanks for the abuse but thats why we have decided to pack up. In my case after 57 years.
  11. Beatlesaint you make a good point about what has gone on in recent years but I do go back a long way and I miss the days when fans were held in high regard and not treated as some form of cash cow with little or no respect. There have been plenty of posters on this site complaining about the way the club customer services has dealt with fans in the last few years. In my opinion that is symptomatic of the way this club now regards its customers. I would suggest that Norwich is a good example of how supporters should be treated. Delia wears her heart on her sleeve, loves the club and consequently carries the fans with her. They sold a massive number of season tickets for this season way before they achieved promotion. I accept your comments ref concessions but my point all along is not that the age limit should be raised but it should indeed be ringfenced for existing senior season ticket holders many of whom had been paid up fans for decades. Is there anyone who would be happy with a 72% hike in the price from one season to another.
  12. Kraken your offensive remark referring to our opinion as mock outrage is sadly typical of so many on here when they disagree. y You are right about one thing we wont go but make no mistake I have as much right as you to express my opinion. After all isn't that what a proper forum is all about
  13. At the moment we are disgusted with the way the club and the executive have treated us and it is not all about cost. It is primarily the principle of what has gone on. We all feel that the fans are only as good as the money that can be extracted and we want no part of it. The idea that we all held of Saints being a family club and that we were all in it together is no more and it is very doubtful that we will ever return under the present regime concession or no concession. However i am personally of the opinion that the club is being run with a sale in the future at a massive profit the main aim so never say never. Sadly I do not share the optimism for the future that is widespread on this forum. I feel that many good and true fans are being mislead as to the true intentions of the present executive. It could be that future buyers will be true Saints fans and will return to past values. If that turns out to be the case I will be at the front of the queue.
  14. 5 of us all from the Andover area 4 aged 60/65 and 1 aged 55 (WIFE). been attending matches together for generations. None are renewing and Im sure you know why.
  15. It was a huge mistake that will come back and haunt the club in the future. Talking to many senior long term fans that have been "culled" like me I have never heard such ill will towards the Saints but they will never admit they were wrong so that is the end of it. When Cortese and co sell the club at a big profit, which is undoubted the plan, maybe we will all return. Until then we will have to watch things develop at a distance. I can hear the abuse already coming my way from some younger posters but that is normal for this site as you are not allowed to have a different view without suffering some form of bile. That I will not miss.
