I can't believe I emailed Rupert Lowe 4 years ago advising if Glenn Hoddle comes back it will be the darkest episode in our history.......if only I could have seen what was lying ahead of us.... sorry Rupert I was a fool. There i've said it.

After the West Ham friendly I was telling everyone that would listen that the play-offs were a formality, and we would possibly go up automatically.....boy is my face red.

Oh my god... working class = Bad....middle/ upper class = good. No wonder you have to pay a fiver to post on hear regularly nowadays, the mods are trying to price-out the working class scum. Suddenly it's all starting to make sense. I swear this board is getting more like a Daily Mail letters page everyday. I'm off to walk my whippet.

I sorry but thats a load of Billy-Bullshine. That's sixteen chances per match! . I have not come away from any game thinking we could have got 16 goals in that match if we had had better forwards. Their defination of "goal scoring chance" must be pretty liberal. I like Jan, but i'm already starting to worry about him. I think eventually he is going to go mental.

Considering we came 5th bottom last year & we are currently fifth bottom in the laegue, I would suggest the fans are outperforming the team!!. I'm sick of people blaming the fans for non-attendance. Play consistant good football & the fans will come back.

This site has gone a bit crap. As a full-time lurker I used to come on here all the time as there used to be a staedy flow of threads. I mean look at the first page of the main board now..it covers 4 days! I think the £5.00 is irrelevant, I just think people (me included) can't be bothered to pay it. It's a real bummer cos I used to love this site. Now it's boring.

Bloody Hell mate. Cheer up it may never happen. What is the "Traditional English Way of Life?" Old Maids on bikes?. The smack of leather on willow? Small boys in the park..jumpers for goalposts? Surely our way of life constantly evolves, otherwise we'd all still be workng in industrial sweatshops and throwing our **** out into the street. Don't get me wrong I kind of see where you're coming from...but sometimes I think you've got to step back & appreciate what you've got . After saying all that I couldn't give a toss about Engand on saturday.

Lets be honest, if BWP was any good on the pitch we would all be saying, "He's innocent, lets move on". The fact is he's crap, so people see this as an excuse to say, "He's a scumbag" or "let him rot" . Trust me if he was having a decent season the responses on this thead would be very different.

I would agree that when the incident occured alot of posters seemed to have some other sort of agenda to push. At the time I thought I had stumbled on a Daily Mail message board. If I am being honest I'm not sure who made me more ashamed to be Saints supporters, BWP & Dyer, or some of the ,"Let's lynch em before it goes to court" brigade on here. It would have been interesting to see what the responses would have been if it had been Lallana & Surman (not that it ever would have been..they are such nice boys)

I'm ashamed of the bloke who's ashamed of that other bloke who previously should have been ashamed.

Attendance Vs Blackpool 5th lowest in the league
wadesmith replied to trousers's topic in The Saints
I fear mid-table will mean that the 3 or 4 players who played well enough to get us there will be picked off by the bigger clubs before next season starts. Sorry to sound pessimistic but thats the way I see it going. I think the only way to keep the squad together is to go up this year....and I just don't see it happening. -
I'm hardly suprised the media played up their dissalowed goals. I imagine if we had had three dissalowed goals this message board mght of "Played it up a bit" as well ,irrespective of if they were correct decisions or not. I think you have to foget about ratings sometimes & just stand back and take an objective view. My view is that Blackpool were quite a distance better than us. Too many of our players had off days (overconfidence perhaps?) but I think we are going to do ok this season.

Dude....with respect that is never gonna catch on.

Be grateful for that.....My dads a Northampton fan..tonight they beat Bolton away...it's the greatest night in Northampton Town history (wel at least in the last five years) and they didn't even show the goals!!. In anger my dad's just kicked one of the legs off my Steve Davis 6' X 4' snooker table which is 24 years old!!

I think it's more likely the arrival of Tariq, and the introduction of Dawson thats caused the upturn in form.
-
You've gotta be joking...that side sucks. Just reading those player names (Davies excluded) makes my heart sink.
-
I'm not sure about that, I think Terry was pretty good, I just think it's been a tough year without Warne & Bruce & all the faffing around with Dimi & the IPL and our fielding has been tripe. I think it may not be a bad time for him to leave though. I think that our surge in form is more down to Tahir (although not today) and the dropping of Ervine has made a real difference to our bowling. I really hope we don't go down the championship because with Tomlinson, Tahir (will he be here next season?) Balcombe & Dawson along with what we already have i'm pretty optimistic. Saying that we need some young batsmen to come through the ranks.

Mate we can't put a claus in the contract...claus is gone...you've got to live in the now dude.
