I always think if you're batting ion arguably the best strip in world cricket you've always got to bat first to give your self the best chance to win (that 475 was the 2nd biggest chase ever, so it was a bit of a freak), it's just so draining for the players to bat after standing in the field for two days. You are quite right about Dawson, i've only just noticed that he only bowled 7 overs? That is a pretty wierd decision.

I've got no real problem with Dimi as captain, I think he's pretty good...but every so often he does make a absolute crakers decision. I too was baffled by the promotion of Tahir. I wonder sometimes if he's trying too hard to emulate Warne's style of captaincy by making 'suprise' decisions. But i've got to say I wouldn't want anyone else as captain.

Don't get me wrong I love Dimi..but why did he win the toss & put Somerset in?. Even the Somerset captain admits that Taunton is 'too good' a wicket (they succesfully chased 475 last week). It also means we can't have Tahir bowling on it on the last day. It's got to be one of the most baffling decisions of the season. Of course I am relying on Cricinfo being correct when it states we won the toss.

I suppose IF England let Prior play, then they would have to let us have KP. I'm in two minds about it really. It would be great to keep todays team intact...But if you replace Benham with KP thats a pretty powerful one day batting line-up.

Yeah not sure if England would let him go anyway in the middle of the Ashes so that may be interesting. I reckon the majority of Hampshire fans would probably be happy for us to stick with the team that won today.

Dissapointing...we were 158-0 at one stage of about 23 overs!. I personally think we are about 40 runs short. I hoping that the rain has livened up the wicket & there may be a bit of spin so it could still be close.

I may be wrong, but I think if we win we would at the very least qualify as one of the best third place teams....so I think that whoever wins this game will definately go through. I may be wrong on this but I don't think so.

The Daill Mail TV guide says that MLT is on Countdown next week, presiding over 'Dictionary corner'. What does this mean in terms of the takeover. Is there a chance they may have to, 'Pull him out of there' if the deal goes through?. What if he's halfway through the conundrum?

I can't stand the bloke as much as the majority of the other posters here...but if i'm honest I expected the figure to be more like £300k. I imagine £100k is peanuts to these kind of guys.

Mate we both know thats not what i'm saying. What I am saying is that the draw of getting Man U tickets put quite alot on that gate. Therefore you can't just compare the two £15.00 games & say the only differing factor is that lowe was in charge for the first one. Although I kind of think you realise this anyway. Plastic & proud!
