It seems that the consensus here is that there is a sliding scale of offensiveness of Homophobic Chants 'i.e. 'Boyfriend' not seen as too bad, while chanting 'F*ck Off you gay C*****s' it appears to deemed too much. Is there a similar sliding scale for racism? If England pay an African team are there mild 'Racist' chants that people feel were not to offensive compared to say monkey chants or flinging banana skins which I think we all agree would rightly be deemed offensive?

I think what bugs me most about this is that supporting Saints didn't always used to be fun, but it had it's moments...but you read the opening post and it's like attending some dreaded works motivational seminar. I agree mate. It's it's the same with all male football commentators. I'm listening to one called Glen Hoddle at the moment, and he actually seems to be baffled by the concept of football. I find them all very annoying.
