  1. Are you pro-Burkha?
  2. Exactly correct Sir . It’s like the Burkha argument ‘Ooh I don’t want people wearing Burkhas..you don’t know what they’re getting up to behind there?’ As you say if we are going to celebrate multi-cultural site we have to accept other cultures view things differently to us. Wear your Burkha..and let’s celebrate being the greatest most accepting nation in the world! Finally someone talks some sense on here!
  3. No I wanted him banned..but I'm still learning every day. Your previous post has given me much to consider.
  4. You misunderstand. I think you've been brilliant! A foreigner has come over to this country..failed to engage or understand an aspect of our culture..and you've shown nothing but empathy, and understanding Salute to you my friend! F#cking hell we'll be calling you snowflake next! Great start to 2021! Keep it going!
  5. If you’re coming over here...then you need to understand our culture...well that’s what the gammons having been telling me for years. Oh except if you use the word Negrito...then it can’t be helped..& how’s he supposed to know that’s racist? Gammon flakes in a nutshell.
  6. F*ck me if Ralph’s got any sense he’s turned over to watch Hollyoaks.
  7. Happy with that.
  8. Mitrovich coming on ....worrying
  9. Ben Kingsley played Ghandi
  10. Sometimes I read you’re posts Turkish & think you’re quite an inspiring character. You’re a sort of David Brent/Gandhi/Martin Luther King hybrid, you a working class lad who doesn’t seem to see colour, you don’t judge. I actually don’t think you realise how special you are.
  11. I haven’t heard a racist comment at the football in about 25 years. It’s seen as socially unacceptable to make racist comments nowadays..whereas in the 70’s/80’s it certainly wasn’t reported/clamped down on. I remember watching a game on the BBC where a ‘WHU National Front’ banner was on full display the whole game. It wasn’t mentioned by the commentators, and remained on display for 90 minutes. Have things improved?...I’m not sure...I don’t think so. I think the English are still pretty racist...we’re just better at suppressing it than we used to be. In fact the only place where there appears to be no racists is this forum....which is so refreshing.
  12. Thank god Alex Scott didn’t say it, otherwise this place would have loved to have stuck the boot in. In fact one of the usual suspects who has just posted must be gutted!
  13. As some people on here said ‘Sheffield are in a false position’...fortunately for them there isn’t a position below 20th.
  14. People saying Sheffield are in a false position....they’ve got one f*cking point!! What position should they be in then ...18th???? Yeah that makes a difference!
  15. If the guy in question had been Asian, ie from Sri Lanka, India, Bangladesh or Pakistan, would have been acceptable for the fourth official to refer to him as ‘The Brown Guy’?
  16. So if all the players were black how would he have identified him?
  17. So how would he have identified him if they were all black?
  18. Exactly, and Millwall fans also recognise that Marxism is a type of historical determinism, the necessity of suppression of individual rights, they realise there are issues with the implementation of communism and economic issues such as the distortion and absence of price signals and reduced incentives....and thank god fans have at last had the balls to say it.
  19. Interesting. On the other hand if you stay silent surely you will be seen as supporting a movement intent on defunding of the police and a swift end to capitalism! I love the police and capitalism...but also want a more equal society...what do I do???
  20. Will Saints fans ‘Boo’ the taking of the knee next home match?.
  21. How we we feel if Saints fans don’t ‘Boo’. the taking of the knee next home game? If we don’t Boo is it a show of support to destroying capitalism and defunding the police?, because that’s what Millwall fans were booing about.
  22. I suppose for me it’s now gone beyond football. You say people have become more ‘polarised’..yeah your right.I wouldn’t disagree.but that’s the fault of the individual. As I said it’s made me ask questions of myself. I would consider myself non-racist & it would be easy for my opinions to become ‘polarised’ and just entrench myself in my position. But I’ve started looking back at the last half century of my life & thought ‘Could I have done more?’ I can think of offices I worked where there probably was unconscious bias about employing certain ethnic groups..in fact looking back it was obvious...but everyone just sort of accepted it..I mean that’s how things were. Why weren’t these issues raised?. Why didn’t I raise it? If people’s thoughts are becoming more polarised..well that’s our problem, maybe we need to look at ourselves, me included.
  23. I come in peace when I say this, as I think there is an interesting debate to be had..whether we are having it is another matter. I think the reason ‘Kick It Out’ got left behind is because it was simply not very effective. If you google ‘Players reject Kick It Out’ the first article is on the BBC advising 30 premiership black players refused to take part in it. Jermaine Defoe rocks up in rainbow laces, Chris Kamala tries to look serious, little mascots of every colour appear at St Mary’s. It didn’t even manage to stop me hating Garth Crooks.(although that’s cos I don’t like him, nothing to do with his skin colour) It really is textbook virtue signalling. People say taking the knee is virtue signalling..try telling that to Colin Kaepernick, he one of America’s most hated men, facing regular death threats. I think the fact BLMatters riles up so many people shows it’s necessary, it asks some uncomftable questions of people..including me. I’ve actually seen someone on another forum who originally complained about ‘Kick it out’ as they felt it wasn’t necessary, now saying ‘Why can’t we go back to Kick It Out’ Try figuring that out?. I still believe Britain is a moderately racist country (don’t bother trying to convince me otherwise I’ve been around too long) I have actually heard people say ‘Black Lives Matters is actually making me more racist’ Well fair enough mate..that’s cos your a racist. I would actually like to see the end of taking the knee as I think it’s becoming counterproductive..but I like the fact it’s opened the debate, and made me think about a few things.
  24. To be fair I did ask the poster the question! (See above)..and then when I responded to you I did draw attention to the original posters question. I suspect I have very different ideas about why the booing happened today, compared to others on here..that’s fine..that’s healthy. I’ve learnt more from people I disagree with than ones I agree with.
