The good news just keeps on coming.

I know this has been mentioned before, but do the NDAs become null and void after SLH is wound up? If so, spill the beans! Dave Jones - top bloke. Lowe should have appointed a caretaker manager during his absence. Hoddle's appointment must have been an "et tu Brute" moment. He deserved better.
-
Stop messing about, get him in!
-
Not so close to no. 2. You'll always find vultures circling around a dying beast (and, no, I don't mean you Herr Liebherr!)
-
I feel the same and, hopefully, whoever is in charge next season can afford to be choosy, get rid of those who aren't committed to the cause and get in a decent replacement.
-
I think we just have to support whoever the new management chooses and, IMHO, they should either give Wotte complete control and a budget for next season or get him out now and appoint someone for the long term like Coppell or Tisdale.
-
There's absolutely no mention of KD on the WHU web site, so who knows - he might just stay on after today's events.
-
He'll fit into League 1 nicely then. He showed real committment last year, so I'd say get him in!
-
Here's perhaps the most important things he said on SSN: "(The future holds) stability. We will be making appropriate finances available to make us competitive at this level. "Subsequently, as we go forward, we will be reviewing those finances. We're not going to get carried away. So no splashing the cash, just enough to bring success at whatever level. Sounds good to me, very good, in fact. The future looks bright, the future looks red and white... :-)

Woo hoo!!! At last we can look forward to the future. Surely now we are past the darkest part of SFC's history in living memory. Onward and upward. :-)

Meridian, what is their problem with saints?
Leslie Charteris replied to Noodles34's topic in The Saints
Did you know that by using the da Vinci code, Meridian translates to "I'm Pompey" and Dineage comes out as "me skate"? True story! -
Deal done - Signed sealed delivered according to U-Inside
Leslie Charteris replied to saint_stevo's topic in The Saints
Anyone know where I can get yodelling lessons? Perhaps they should be organised as group therapy! -
So, let's just get this straight, Saints were 2-0 up with less than 10 mins to play, Anthony Pulis was the invisible man, Jo Tessem wasn't very good and nobody's sure who scored the first goal. SNAFU Barely four weeks away from a game that counts against Milwall. Herr Liebherr (or his team) has much to do - I have faith!

When tomorrows dawn breaks.......
Leslie Charteris replied to Made in Southampton's topic in The Saints
I appreciate the sentiments but, once the initial feel-good factor has worn off, somebody will be questioning the choice of manager/coach, complaining about the lack of investment, why we didn't buy Ronaldo, etc, etc. One step at a time, I say... -
Frygate- Tail wags the dog? A forum exposé
Leslie Charteris replied to shurlock's topic in The Saints
I wonder if part of the hold up has been agreeing the administrator's fees? After 92 days or whatever, it's going to be a big pay day for Begbies Traynor. -
Not in a cynical or negative way, but what's the connection with Southampton? Could it be the colours?
-
To quote the Echo "The money behind the deal is believed to be from a relative of Swiss billionaires Willi and Isolde Liebherr but at this stage there are no plans for the new owner to appear at a press conference tomorrow." A blue chip business family - I can't wait to find out the reasons for purchasing SFC and what the long term vision is. Tomorrow just might be a truly great day in the history of the Saints, I just hope I feel at least as good about this tomorrow as I do right now.

I am overcome with contrition. I have given myself a smack.

Does this help?
-
Does anyone know if any member of the family in particular was involved in the Austrian football club rescue?
-
Shearer and Strachan may have been contacted by Pinnacle but that says more about Pinnacle than anyone else. There must be someone living in cloud cuckoo land behind Pinnacle and he must be quite convincing (but not enough for GWS!)
-
Are you suggesting that the Liebherr wealth is tainted? We don't want to be like that other team in Hampshire, do we?
-
Why? It might bring some success, but it's always the mug punters who end up paying in the long run. What's the message behing your avatar, BTW?
-
??? Shouldn't this thread be elsewhere on the forum (assuming it is within the rules)?
