NA, NC - take the money and invest it wisely, please. Thank you and goodbye AOC. -
£4m swoop for Burnley duo Rodriguez and Fox?
Leslie Charteris replied to modern matron's topic in The Saints
Only a newspaper reporting newspaper gossip, so no guarantees there's any truth in it, unfortunately. -
Has Cork's arrival inspired him, or is he extra-motivated to get a start every week? Whatever, he was great today.
-
Considering how many starts he's had. I thought he did pretty well. A few more starts will give him confidence and his awareness will improve. He will get better, I am sure.

lol!

Saints 3 - 1 Leeds, Post Match Celebration

It looked to me like he got it full in the chest and then it rolled up his arm - there was a slight deflection, but it was a harsh decision. -
Saints 3 - 1 Leeds, Post Match Celebration

Great game, great goals - but, BBC, why do we have to wait until gone midnight to see them again? Cracking performance all round, with no serious weaknesses. I always thought we would win, but Leeds were worse than I expected. We will face better teams - I think the Ipswich game will be a better measure of where we are, but on that performance, there is no team in this league we need fear. -
Poop! A weak penalty to Leeds.
-
They are quite right - it's a new club record!
-
Get in!!!!
-
Loving the cutting pattern on the pitch!
-
Try this for a dose of reality, ask any Leeds fan today what they think of their chairman and his record and then ask yourself which club is better off. Repeat this procedure at other games during the season and you might come to a slightly different view.

£4m swoop for Burnley duo Rodriguez and Fox?
Leslie Charteris replied to modern matron's topic in The Saints
TBF, they usually get the date right on the front cover. Fox sounds like a Bridge/Bale type player. I think we'd need a good left-sided CB to work alongside him. Perhaps someone was thinking of Gorkss... -
Kaspars Gorkss - Update: Signs for Reading
Leslie Charteris replied to Nexstar's topic in The Saints
It just fits with the Solent Sport Tweet. Sad if true. -
Now on that point, we are agreed!
-
Now If I saw a company report to the shareholders with a picture of the chairman or CEO on the cover, I'd be mortally offended and would have to offload all my shares immediately, just to spite the silly chairman and make sure I took no part in any future success!
-
All rumour and speculation, no substantial evidence to back up your assertion. Anyway, if the players concerned can't agree to the terms then we are better off with them not getting on the bus. BTW, what does WIFRM stand for?
-
Chicken - egg. NC had the idea, ML had the finance. Together they saved SFC, I suppose only history will judge who was more important.

Kaspars Gorkss - Update: Signs for Reading

His name has come up in various rumours. We could do worse, but we could do better, too... -
Which one individual has been more important then? Obviously ML is up there, but he would not have got involved without NC's encouragement. I can't think of many others. OK credit must go to Pardew and NA, but they wouldn't have been involved without NC's input. My point is that NC has been pivotal in every big decision taken leading up to and since the takeover. That makes him very important in my book and if you can name anyone more important then I will doff my cap to that person and hope that he or she gets their cover moment.

Kaspars Gorkss - Update: Signs for Reading

"Gorkks to Southampton deal is off. However qpr will put in a cash offer for puncheon." I know it's only footballrumours.com, but this does ring true, unfortunately. I hope the offer is big enough to be accepted. So who do we look to now to bolster our defence? -
But he came up with the idea, sold it to ML, executed it with the Liebherr money to get us where we are now. So how is he not important in the revival of SFC?
-
My view, only said more eloquently. OK, some might see this as a bit of self-promotion, but, so what? No one has been more important in the saving from SFC oblivion and its subsequent revival. He can appear on as many programme covers as he likes, as far as I'm concerned. If he was stood there in Speedos, however, I might start to worry!

No need to ask who ate all the pies!
