Do you really believe we will be promoted this season,Yes or No ?
Leslie Charteris replied to bjk's topic in The Saints
Actually, all will become clear when it's a mathematical certainty either way. WHU had the chance to go top today, but they imploded. Who do you think will be feeling better tonight, us or them? In theory, they have a stronger squad than us but I would back the Player Whisperer every time over Fat Sam to get the best out of the squad. Just have faith in NA and believe that he is with us for the long haul. I feel the rise and rise of SFC will continue for some time and I am not being happy clappy, I honestly think he is the real deal, I mean, some people are even suggesting he might be a future England manager (hopefully when he's about the same age as Bagpuss). -
Jaidhi crocked long term, Hooiveld was brought in. We have been linked to a number of strikers and I think Adkins knows what to do. I reckon it's just a case of finding the the right player to invite on to the bus. I can't just be anyone - ask Mr Puncheon!

I wonder if people just don't remember the assists as they are not as spectacular as Frazer Richardson's, for example. I certainly thought Richardson had more. But before slagging Guly off, people should ask themselves whether the team is better with or without him. Oh hang on, that requires thinking...

Spot on. The current side is doing exceptionally well at the moment but it lacks the top stars we've had in the past. I seem to remember half the team being current internationals in the past. Now that I would like to see again!

You are most welcome. I thought was a nice piece, the sort of thing I would hope to read in the Echo, but hey ho...

I do belive the author is a Saints fan and a member here. I may be wrong and I wouldn't want to accuse him of Bias!

Agree with that, he could have popped the ball in a bucket from 50 yards the way he was playing - Guly didn't have to move for that first goal.
-
...and what a game that was! Which reminds me - I think I'll go for 4 - 3 in the prediction league.
-
Let's hope Chappers reminds his former manager what he's missing on Tuesday!

18 according to the OS.

Happy daze! :-) I have to pinch myself sometimes just to make sure this is real. ...oh and that bint on the BBC said it was twenty five passes for the third goal.

If we'd won I doubt this thread would have started. Nice to see some youngsters get a good run out in front of a proper crowd and if Jos and a few others play well on Saturday, it will explain why NA is in charge and why we don't have fans picking the team.

As is the way of the world, this is just another example of the rich and powerful flexing their muscles to get what they want, ensuring a short term benefit for themselves with little thought to the long-term consequences. I imagine the negotiations between the Premier League and the Football League went something like this: "I'm sure I'll take you with pleasure!" the Queen said. "Two pence a week, and jam every other day." Alice couldn't help laughing, as she said, "I don't want you to hire ME - and I don't care for jam." "It's very good jam," said the Queen. "Well, I don't want any TO-DAY, at any rate." "You couldn't have it if you DID want it," the Queen said. "The rule is, jam to-morrow and jam yesterday - but never jam to-day." "It MUST come sometimes to "jam to-day,"" Alice objected. "No, it can't," said the Queen. "It's jam every OTHER day: to-day isn't any OTHER day, you know." "I don't understand you," said Alice. "It's dreadfully confusing!"

Saints 1 West Ham 0 - Post Match Reactions
Leslie Charteris replied to St Chalet's topic in The Saints
Great, great result - a confirmation of NA'a tactical nous and the determination of the team to win, whoever is in the 11 on the pitch. Another very good write up here: http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2011/oct/18/southampton-west-ham-united-championship It seem's that people outside of SMS are starting to believe, too... -
Derby 1 - 1 Saints - Post Match Reaction

Are you being faecetiuos? Ohio used the US spelling, is the clue in his location When sides draw, they only get one point. A well earned, hard fought point was gained today. Well done to the team, especially without AL and you Saints fans in the stadium sounded fantastic on the radio, too! -
The most important thing is the team are not at all afraid of success and, by the sound of things, failure is not an option worth considering. I am also pretty sure NA and NC have a shrewd idea of just how much the club will have to spend to continue the upward path and Nigel is making plans (NC making plans for Nigel, perhaps?).

Saints 4 Birmingham 1 - Reactions Thread

Ho ho ho, your subtle use of irony made me laugh. I'll laugh even more when we stick four past Brighton.Who is coping best at this level, Rickie or CMS? -
Middlesbrough score - makes them top at the moment, I think.
-
Leon Best scores again - so AP won't be needind a new Lambo in January!
-
Brighton 1 - 0 down!

Ah, bringing it all back home...

Whatever the circumstances, this is a tradegy for Dan Seabourne and his family. Right now, we should just be wishing him a complete and speedy recovery, nothing else matters right now. We should also hope that the truth is discovered in due course and that appropriate measures are taken then. Any other discussion should happen elsewhere and at another time. Come on Dan, I want to see you back in that defence just as soon as you can make it.

Back to the OP, Neil Warnock has to be the best anagram in football! :-)
