Lee Holmes has been loaned out to Oxford United. http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~2609848,00.html Good luck to him, he could do well for them. The Championship was just a step too far, IMHO.

Pity, really, as WHU will have a game in hand and we'll be at least a point behind. Still, a win today will give us the chance to go top on Tuesday and Peterboghorror are still managing to score a few at home, so it might just turn out OK.

Jason Puncheon in The Sun: I was no Saint
Leslie Charteris replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
I imagine it was sanctioned by the club because it is a public affirmation that the problems between the two of them are now resolved. In that case, job done. -
Yes, that's his full name. Made me laugh when I saw that - I wonder why he gets special treatment.
-
I wonder if this thread would exist if Chaplow was fit. A cynic might speculate that the "reconciliation" would not have happened then and that Chappers is actally more crocked than the club are letting on.

Tough team to beat, difficult conditions - a good point earned. Shame West Ham let us down!
-
No, the play-off places don't go as far down as 17th!
-
Get in Rickie - welcome back!
-
Some boos for Puncheon, then -Saints or Milwall supporters, I wonder... ..ooh, off the post. Lucky Saints!
-
As ever, the people responsible for putting the club in this position will get away without any real punishment. I feel sorry for the players and staff who will suffer. The fans deserve a little pain, though...

Expensive business chasing dreams.....

...and the signs so far suggest NC means to keep it that way, so onwards and upwards to the promised land. -
"News: Celtic have rejected a second bid from Southampton for Gary Hooper, with Neil Lennon admitting that the two clubs are a significant distance apart in their valuation of the striker. " From Sky Sports Transfer Clockwatch @ 1:15 p.m.

Perhaps NC would splash the cash on a fee but we haven't signed anyone yet because he won't sanction a player coming in on much bigger wages than we're paying out already. After all, Billy Sharp alledgedly wanted wages that even Leicester wouldn't pay. -
I'm going with a scrappy 1-0 win for us as neither team seems to have much firepower up front at the moment (except for the three Forest scored last week, of course!)

Horse's mouth: "Jason Puncheon has also come back into the building for the first time this morning from being on loan. We have done a little MOT on him and assessed him from a fitness point of view, just to see where he is. "We will sit down and have a discussion as to where we are with it, to see what his future holds with him. He has had almost a year out on loan now at Blackpool and then QPR, so we need to sit down and decide what the future holds." NA on OS.
-
As usual, NA has it sussed - I know people are saying he got the tactics wrong in the second half, but he had to play what he had and he was out of options today. Let's hope he makes the right choices with who he brings in.

Posh level!
-
Same as RL's. as it happens!
-
Surely he has spent enough time out in the wilderness to make a point. He has eighteen months left on his contract. I believe, so I think a decision must be made during this coming transfer window - either he comes back into the squad or we get rid, even if it's at a loss. If he gets on and stays on the bus he really could add another dimension to our midfield, something we need at the moment with Chaplow crocked.
-
OK, he is worth a shout!
-
He could well be worth a shout, but perhaps Bart needs another run out or he may never recover his confidence. Tough call.
