£200,000 grant from BPL for away supporters
saints_is_the_south replied to Bourno's topic in The Saints
The club love to interact with the fans via social media. Lets get asking them how they plan to use the money. More people who ask, more chance of them answering perhaps. Feel free to copy and paste. @SouthamptonFC How will #saintsfc be using the @premierleague initiative of £200K for away fans? Sure fans would be very interested to know. -
£200,000 grant from BPL for away supporters

I was charged a booking fee for of £4 for Norwich for 4 tickets. Thought it was £1.50 last season. Either they've reduced them or are using the money to reduce them. Agree with Hull idea. -

Predictions: Saints vs Sunderland
saints_is_the_south replied to Glasgow_Saint's topic in The Saints
2-0 Saints. -
Block 44-48 is 2,500 seats, minus segregation of approx 200 that makes for 2,300. So if they've only taken 1,800 that means block 44 will be empty too. Means a bit less sold then, around 29,300.

Did enjoy the Sat-Tues games in the lower leagues. Tuesday night games meant steak night in the spoons for one! In terms of the football, the Championship was only "fun" in the promotion season. The others whilst we were there were all pretty abject, play off season aside maybe. The 07/08 & 08/09 seasons were most definitely not "fun".

1,845 remaing in home areas. 276 sold since last night & 1,168 in last 72 hours. Approx 29,700 sold based on hospitality & away assumptions.

I don't know whether that's aimed at me, or just in general but I renewed my season ticket in June, thanks.

I agree that another top quality CB would improve us a lot, but I don't think we are necessarily weak beyond those two either. Fonte had a very decent game on Saturday and Hooiveld has shown himself to be up to the task when called upon. Both have proved themselves to be capable PL defenders. As back ups to Dejan & Yoshida, they're pretty good I'd say. You've also got Cork & Wanyama who can do a job at CB if we were ever facing a major injury crisis.

Ben less excuse to stop selling them so early then!

Still don't know why the club didn't continue selling right up until the day before the first home game. I know they have to produce the pack, but they could produce paper tickets for the first couple of games if people did buy one a day or 2 before the season started. By stopping sales on 21st July or whatever it was, they missed out on a lot of people's July pay days, not to mention the momentum picked up by the West Brom win and Osvaldo signing. Missed out on another 1K STH I reckon. Another baffling decision by our ticket office.

Yes, we'll receive a solidarity payment of 5% of any transfer fee.

Emailed the club today. No reply yet.

Stadium capacity 32,689. 1,072 of those are for hospitality. 31,617 available to buy online including away end. Minus segregation netting of approx 200 seats makes 2,300 available for Sunderland fans, their website says there are a limited number remaining, so lets say they've sold 2,200. There are 2,121 available to buy in home areas. So I make that 28,896 sold + whatever has been sold in hospitality. If half of that area is taken up, we're up to 29,432 sold in total. 892 tickets sold in the 48 hours since I started counting on Monday, so if sales continue in that fashion (450 per day) it'll be over 30,000 by Saturday morning, then plus whatever walk up sales bring. Random guess at 30,531 as the final attendance.

B, obviously.

They'd just been for a swim? What else would be there to 'make of it', from two Japanese footballers leaving a swimming complex?

I think we could have taken close to 3,000, not 4,000 though for sure. Max allocation at Norwich is 2,500 anyway so it's a bit irrelevant. If I get a reply to my email from the club today I'll put it up on here later.

May fire an email off to the TO about this in the morning. I'd also like to know their reasoning for not telling us the allocation in the first place. It's ridiculous. It also looks like the club have requested that the Saints FC Cop on twitter no longer gives out allocation info. Crazy. Our TO is a shambles. Sent from my BlackBerry 9780 using Tapatalk

I'm surprised that it took as long to shift the 1,200 tickets as it did, if that allocation is indeed correct.

I've seen people on twitter who also have block G. So we've got 2 blocks then, F & G.

1 block? After selling out our allocation of 2,600 for WBA? Find that hard to believe. The final block in the away section at Carrow Road is tiny too! http://www.canaries.co.uk/cms_images/stadium-plan-1213132-230542.pdf
