Barnsley first on Tuesday, but already thinking towards next Saturday. Osvaldo will start, Gaston too possibly. We need both of those 2 in the team at the same time as much as possible IMO, they are both on the same wavelength as each other so the more opportunities they get to develop that understanding the better. Would not be surprised to see Jay Rod dropped for this one. If Osvaldo does start, then will it be behind or in front of Lambert? Yesterday it seemed to be the former, but I think Lambert is better suited to playing in the deeper role. My team would be as follows, Boruc Clyne - Lovren - Fonte - Shaw Schneiderlin - Wanyama Ramirez - Lambert - Lallana Osvaldo That, with maybe the exception of swapping Fonte for Yoshida is our strongest team, IMO. Norwich will be desperate to get their first win after losing to Hull yesterday, but I saw nothing in them to suggest they are any better than West Brom, so another good opportunity to pick up 3 more points on the road.

Post Match Reaction & MotM: SAINTS 1-1 Sunderland
saints_is_the_south replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Played well I thought, dominated the game. Sunderland got their early goal, and then parked the bus so it was always going to be difficult to break that down. Still feel we do not have enough pace in the final third, and aren't moving the ball quick enough. Ramirez and Osvaldo both appeared to be on the same wavelength though, and I think it'll be pretty exciting as that partnership develops. -

"Gimme Shelter" - any chance for the next few games?

Tried getting this going in the boozer yesterday, and at the back of block 36. Not many takers unfortunately, will give it another go at Norwich. [video=youtube_share;KEjY2kwIY_Y]http://youtu.be/KEjY2kwIY_Y -
Dani osvaldo; Saint in the making!
saints_is_the_south replied to Avenue Saint's topic in The Saints
Once he comes to terms with the fact that he isn't going to be playing with footballers anywhere near the ability of Francesco Totti, then he's going to be really good for us. -
233 tickets sold overnight/this morning. 1,210 remaining.
-
Yeah I've received it too. Applied for 5. Worth giving it a try I think.

Betting advice - Saints to win or lose?

Every man and his dog is predicting Saints to win today. Chamberlain, Stelling, Merson, even Lawro is jumping on the bandwagon! This can only mean one thing, an inevitable defeat! -
£200,000 grant from BPL for away supporters
saints_is_the_south replied to Bourno's topic in The Saints
Indeed it does. Mis-read. And the title of this thread says grant! -
Yes. If Suderland had taken the full 3,200 allocation and sold them all, there would be around 800 tickets remaining.
-
Yeah, only needs a fair sized walk up tomorrow to creep over the 30K mark.
-
There are about 100 empty seats at the bottom of the Chapel stand too, and in Itchen block 3.

£200,000 grant from BPL for away supporters

Thinking about it, there was no booking fee charged on the West Brom ticket either. And 50p off the booking fee for Norwich. Hmmmmm. Is this where Saints are using this money I wonder? -
Northam sold out (except block 43 - 610 seats remain there. Only 5 seats left between blocks 28 round to 38. 1,443 left in total. 402 sold since last night, 1,570 sold since Monday.

I still don't understand why they cannot tell us the allocation amount. If things change, and we've sent tickets back due to slow sales for example, it only takes a quick tweet to update us.
