Doh...this means nothing without the quote but it related to post 108 (which I now see was already answered earlier) -
Post-Match Reaction: SAINTS 4-1 Crystal Palace

I think Mane had family/friends at the back of Block 3 and he was pointing and waving towards them after the goal. Pretty sure Wanyama's family or friends were up at the back there as well and then they went down and hung around the tunnel area on the pitch after the game. -
For once the '12th man' tag of the crowd may actually have some truth in it. Klopp said he took Lovren off because of the abuse he was getting and that's how Skrtl ended up on th pitch. Thanks Northam end! On a more serious note, I though Ward Prowses ferocious tackles to win the ball back for 2 of the goals deserves a mention.

It seems they are anatomically linked. Perhaps the (alleged, no criticism implied) butcher surgeon messed up this nerve which affects the feet. http://www.vermontspineworks.com/services/nerve-function-testing/peroneal-neuropathy

Even more ironic was post 375 - "If Shane long was a footballer we'd be fuc ked" (written just after Longy hoisted his delicate chip high into the stand)

Koeman didn't mention any injury problem but Wanyama seems to be missing from the training video and the gallery on OS. I also noticed in the Leicester matchday uncovered video him pointedly refusing to shake hands with Sammy Lee after the game (6:40) and kicking the changing room door open. Victor had a pretty mediocre game against Leicester and I wonder if something's going on there? Hopefully this was just anger at throwing 2 points away - I was pretty angry leaving the ground as well!

I suspect the Ref may have said exactly that to Davis, who seemed to be moaning at him after the move fell apart.
-
The Ref was standing in the way of the return ball from Davis to Prowse. Not the Ref's fault, he was in his usual position for such a kick, but perhaps the person who devised that set piece forgot to get them to practice with a ref on the pitch!
-
He didn't score but his hold up play and general strength up front was excellent. The commentators weer raving about the partnership formed between him and Eder. I think Conti likes Pelle very much.

It's all part of a face saving exercise which I guess started with that shrewd interview by Les Reed saying he didn't blame the player etc. Portraying VW as a victim of greedy agents , biased media and an unscrupulous Levy allowed the narrative to be crafted which hopefully will give VW the chance to rehabilitate himself and dig himself out of a hole. .....On the other hand VW may just not give a shxt what people think!

I wonder how the Mail's Simon Jones will manage to spin this one for Levy? "Top Tottenham target dramatically refuses to rule out leaving Southampton in 2 years time"
-
Guess who said this “Thirdly, we never make anything public, particularly in the best interests of the players involved. Making aspects such as transfer requests public is wholly disrespectful to a player."

CONFIRMED - Virgil Van Dijk joins on Five Year Deal
foxy9143 replied to Brizzie Saints's topic in The Saints
Perhaps he will next be seen in the Directors Box sitting between Kat and Ralph. -
So what is the bottom line here. (Ignoring the financial loss of having an expensive, idle player in the U21s) We obviously hold his player registration but can he break the contract and 'resign' from Saints? If so what happens to his registration, can we ensure that he can't play for another team for two years?

"....And it now seems Bilic is closing in on a £12 million deal for Payet after the 28-year-old's agent, Jacques-Olivier Auguste, revealed a deal to take his client to the Boleyn Ground was close to being finalised. This idiot Simon Jones seems quite upset that his North London friends won't be getting Victor. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-3208231/Southampton-s-determination-want-away-midfielder-Victor-Wanyama-Tottenham-cost-213-000-week.html?ITO=1490&ns_mchannel=rss&ns_campaign=1490 The almost hysterical article completely overlooks the fact that by keeping Victor we aren't paying for someone else to replace him.

Breaking News: Fifa officials arrested.

Wouldn't be at all surprised if he decided to pop over to Moscow for an extended summer holiday with his pal Vlad. (No extradition treaty between US and Russia). -
I think we have to look back at the needless booking Wanyama picked up a couple of weeks ago. Not only did we lose him from midfield but we lost Toby as a centre back and this has disrupted our defence for the last two games.

One of the weekends 'other games' with a tenuous link to Southampton....thanks to Suarez we may keep Koeman for another season at least!

Love pic 80 "sign the damn contract or I'll shoot your balls off"

Sat just in front of Jeff Stelling today in block 5 and had a quick chat at half time. I asked him what he would he say if he was in the saints dressing room and he said he thought Saints were playing really well, but it is really difficult "when only one team is trying to play football". He particularly pointed out how negative it was of Swansea using Dyer basically as an extra midfield player. (He then spent the rest of half time break talking to someone about his beloved Hartlepool at which time I lost interest slightly!)

I'm slightly concerned about how the Cork saga may affect Bertrand (his best mate apparently). If he feels Cork has been messed around or let down by the club it may sour his feelings towards signing on permanently.
-
I agree. That seemed to be the turning point, but I can't see why there would be a connection between that incident and his current lack of form.
