  1. https://c.newsnow.co.uk/A/1141603654?-11205:798 Looks like Bednarek is a player in demand ! Being a "brick wall" that could be a reason for his immobility 😇
  2. Even if he isn't in the right frame he should travel so either Leicester can buy him or they can collect him from Aston Villa. With a spare seat on the way home we could take Fofana to Stamford Bridge and collect Chalobah saving money on all these blacked out people carriers 😇
  3. Something could be imminent as when I went past Staplewood about 1145 today 3 people carriers with blacked out windows went into Staplewood and the gates were shut very quickly and before you could see anyone alight. Just hoping this is good news 😀😇. ( Sorry for lateness I have just got home and only now able to post as I had issues with new iPhone accessing internet)
  4. I thought Valery has bulked up, but looked fit and kept running until the very late injury. His recovery tackle in the second half was superb and overall he was one of the best performers.
  5. If we keep him on gardening leave is there anything to stop him having a quiet word with the Leicester management and hinting who they might wish to look at ?
  6. Could be related, I have just seen Broja driving away from Staplewood! Or maybe training is finished😃
  7. I would happily offer McCarthy in part exchange ?
  8. What we are talking about is using kicking the ball into the stands for wasting time (gamesmanship). If Foster is not that good (your opinion) he managed to accurately hit the ball out of touch quite a few times in a row.
  9. Could it be a house for Ralph so he can keep his manager close😀
  10. I suppose Ralph clapping Foster when he kicked the ball out was him being sarcastic?
  11. I was at the game so could not tell, but my mate watching on TV said that Royal was not even touched - shame there is no retrospective punishments.
  12. Latest news I heard was that Norwich were about to name Frank Lampard as their new manager. I am quite sure that will end in tears for him as we all know him and Stevie G could never play in the same league 😃
  13. How bad and biased can Friend be, terrible ref against the small sides!
  14. Yes got a decision our way
  15. I am watching on Hesgoals and think we are doing well. Disappointed with the ref surprisingly wish they would be fair to both sides.
  16. Sorry only had time to go back 4 pages on this "Saints Rainbow Shirt" thread did anyone ever manage to get any copies made?
  17. Thanks spilled my coffee all over the keyboard 😄😂🤣
  18. No but each showed there ability? in the respective games
  19. Because of his injury record lets hope the Ox rumours are to push Blackburn into accepting the Armstrong bid
  20. Just a thought no one knows who Armstrong wants to go to? He may prefer Saints and is putting pressure on Blackburn which is why we stepped back? No one knows what is happening behind the scenes and only time will tell. I know that it will not go down with the haters who I am surprised say that they are fans. To refer to the club as Clowns is disgraceful in my view especially after the great deal they did with the Ings sale. I do not think I was the only one convinced he would stay as none of the CL clubs were in for him and after the window closed would sign a new deal for security. Villa called his bluff and we accepted a very good offer especially looking at his form post Covid. Only patience will tell what the replacements are but I will trust the Club to do it's best.
  21. Referring to the two 9 - 0's - no one points out that the first one came after Bertrand got sent off by a VAR official who sitting in his warm office and thought a tackle, the ref ignored because of the shocking conditions was a sending off, (No prizes for the name of the VAR official). The team did go to pieces too quickly but the game was reasonably balanced before the sending off. The second was started by an abysmal tackle by a youngster against a top team so we started with ten then another extremely poor referring decision (reversed on appeal) left us with nine. Not all Ralph's fault ? Last season started great then we had the injuries which highlighted the lack of squad depth. The window is still open so there is a chance to change it. I cannot believe how many haters there are on this forum slagging the club off at every chance. Do you really think that you're opinions are going to change the ways that football men at the helm of this club are going to act, they know what they are doing and trying to achieve, so a bit of patience would help.
  22. I would like a forum notice informing people on here that with agents involved, telling players to hold out to the end of the window in case they get a better offer, we are not high enough up the food chain to get deals done early. It may stop the usual bedwetters saying what a crap club we are (supposedly our supporters?) and having patience to wait until the window is over before having a swipe at the Club. If the experts on here do not know if Ings is going or not how are the club expected to know. (In my opinion that will go to the wire and all depends whether Kane moves on or not). So far I am happy that some dead wood has been moved on and we are strengthening albeit slowly. Ralph knows what he wants for the season and if the club provides that it will do for me.
  23. Could be good if he thinks we are Celtic and still (just) in the Champions League 😁😇
  24. Sorry I think you’re struggling now you said further back that when we put in a bid for Armstrong the news was all over the media I await with interest in what the club can produce in this window, which I expect will be there best under the financial restraints. Nothing said on this board is going to affect that but I’m quite sure we will start the season with more depth. We hit the top last season before our injuries and lack of depth showed up so I prefer to remember those times and not the doom and gloom after. COYS
  25. As the other poster I would suggest that there is a lot of difference between our board and Levy. We may make low offers which is obviously part of negotiations what we do not do is put it out in the media constantly about being in for a player and then once he’s unsettled throw in a lowball of a bid with no intention of any compromise. Can’t say I recall any great publicity about any of our negotiators putting it out there that they’re going to put in a low bid. I would’ve thought that if you read a lot of the posts on here and other news reports you might realise that by now Levy is well known for his tactics. If you want to compare Ings to Armstrong – Armstrong is not proven in the Premier League, he is in the last year of his contract and it appears that he wants to leave but he has an extortionate price on his head for an untested player. Ings may be in the last year of his contract but he only wants to go to a top 4 club, he is one of the top English goal scorers and we do not want to sell him. It also sounds to me that the Williams loan fee was thrown in at the last minute and rejected to see if we could save some on our limited budget. As always we won’t know how good this window will be until it’s over. (FWIW I think Ings will stay and then sign the new deal for his own security)
