Makes sense...but it still does not explain why Everton keep their best players longer.. The Everton game clearly showed that five of their players are better than any we have; hence the 5th place and 73 points or whatever it was the season before last. From a fans perspective, we would surely be happier if we paid bigger wages to at least delay the inevitable. Losing one key player a season is better than our annual rebuild as its unsustainable in the long term.

1st half Ward-Prowse was a total passenger..we cannot play him just for set pieces. Targett is out of his depth..and bottles challenges which is very worrying. Mane had a headless chicken night. Romeu was our best player by a distance. We are a shadow of last seasons team at the mo..

Not really...I thought Everton played to a high level, and were better all over the pitch.. Two seasons ago they were 5th with over 70 Pts and are clearly a top six side when no extra fixtures to cope with. They also went the farthest of our teams in the Europa League last year I think.

Wouldn't go that far but I did notice he has a better starting position to save long shots.. I.e. The Cisse shot where he was already on the edge of the six yard box, whereas Forster would be about a yard off his line. Still, two class goalies is better than one I'm told.

Actually I agree with you...I just put it more forcefully as I'm fed with the thread...not convinced Koeman thinks he's good enough.. And he only lasted one half in the Euros and was hauled off for the same reasons..I hope he develops but at the mo don't see it

It's hilarious this thread...anyone who understands anything about football can see he's not good enough for our 1st eleven..end of No pace, can't tackle and gets brushed of the ball too easily..whether he will improve in those attributes is a different issue. It's the here and now that's important
