  1. They have been released becoz they are not good enough, as most Chelsea fans will tell you. Certainly would not want them in our team.
  2. I can't believe we are already writing off our own players, based on a rumour. Fox's positives far outweigh the negatives; excellent ball control, fantastic delivery, great in the air (did not look out of place at sweeper in one game this season) v does not get close enough to the winger to prevent crosses. Depends what you want and how much you want to pay to resolve the negative while keeping the positives. I don't know any full back with his delivery from set pieces; end of argument.
  3. Thanks.. Reading deserved the Top Spot for such a brilliant run at the business end of the Championship. Ignore the rude comments, some of our fans only see things through a Red and White haze. Good Luck Next season; we both may need it !
  4. I think Adkins may look to the Championship's young players: Rodriques Trotter Boyd Butterfield plus a CB and Goalkeeper
  5. Please don't spoil the show with moronic comments.. Guly and Schneiderlin were the best players on the park
  6. Exactly, the OP wants a scenario that does not exist.. we don't go up, lose our best players, lose the manager and we are all still happy!! Get a grip.. we HAVE to be promoted and we will be elated and we will enjoy watching Premiership football to see whether we can mirror the other 2 teams that went up last year (who did not fork out millions for greedy players)
  7. Only people with a negative mind set whinge on about blown opportunities. We have no divine right to win every game and if we do not beat Coventry we don't deserve to go up automatically anyway.
  8. We won't get Moses and the rest are average at best. I think Butterfield and Rodriques are high on our list..
  9. Totally agree and under-valued. Our ability to write off bad results and win our next game is fantastic.
  10. Well done Reading.. deserve to be promoted.. and hope you do well in the Premiership.
  11. You really are blind to reality, just use Hammond as a scape goat. Fox was at fault for the 1st and 2nd goal. He never gets close enough to the Wide men and allows the cross when they must be stopped. Hence Adkins comment re cutting out the crosses.
  12. Well, it was either him or Ricky.. and he gave Fonte a football lesson tonight.
  13. Relax.. Butterfield is a better 'defender' than Richardson; just lose the marauding overlap and dangerous cross.

    Guly

Guly does not play well in frenetic games like a local derby; De Ridder was not given the ball early enough to threaten but did oK. To say Cork was MoM is a joke; too easily knocked off the ball and never has it under control - he is not good enough for the premiership for sure
  15. Absolutely.. unfortunately there are always so-called fans who look at the negatives in any situation. Its still in our own hands as to whether we go up automatically or have to win the playoffs
  16. No.. you are just a sad muppet.. don't tell me, you thought the morons running on the pitch when we scored was the highlight of your day..

    Forte

I hope that was a joke..otherwise you are.
  18. 59.. Waterlooville surrounded by Pompey fans.. remember going to Wolves 9-3 as one of my first trips to the Dell, but also went to Goodison/Elland Road in '72 where we shipped 15 goals, followed by Man U which I think was 2-5.. but the best memory is the '76 trip to Wembley.. Happy Days
  19. What game were you watching; the pass from Hammond gave him an easy chance.. and he is so frustrating when he always has to take a touch when he can hit it first time. That said, for a wide midfielder his goals tally is not bad !
  20. Sorry Guys but I would go back to Lambert/Guly up front. Lee will not provide goals, although runs the channels well enough. Sharp looks like a fat pudding and Connelly is past his sell by date; an off the bench option. Remember who has scored the goals this season.

    Guly

I think you should support another team as you obviously know nothing about footbal to start such a thread. We certainly missied him against Cardiff.. Fact
  22. Agreed, the OP was simply pointing out what a lot of people said where I was sitting.. he was easily given the arm off when he could have scored with the 'toe poke'. However, as said earlier; some body building from the Adkins training regime will hopefully strengthen him up.
  23. We will be in the top two for certain..
  24. This is a no-brainer.. Lambert is the best player in the Championship, let alone our great team. His ball-control and vision is outstanding and as a bonus he scores goals for fun. I will be surprised if there are not Premier league teams hunting him in January; given he's 29 (?) we had better be in the top two come january.. which I fully expect we will be..

    Gillet

    J. Bizzet is spot on.. the game turned on Murt's injury, we lost the midfield tracking of James as Gillet drifts all over the pitch. Surely you saw Pardey screaming at him af ter only couple of minutes as he was lost on the right wing with the midfiekd totally exposed. However, Thomas hospital pass was responsible for the build up to the 1st goal; but Gillett not tracking back was responsible for the 2nd. Offload time !
