Not sure why all the debate over Lambert and/or Osvaldo and/or Rodriquez... we are lucky to have all three in our squad. MP will rotate based on opposition analysis.. simple.

I think we are going overboard either way. Its fairly obvious MP will rotate or play both players for the remainder of the season. He sees lambert as more than just a striker to score goals, and he sees a pass better than anyone else in the team. MP's style does would not suit many strikers to be honest, hence the lack of goals we are scoring and the reduced number of chances created since NA was replaced. However, we are progressing by dominating teams, less goals conceded, and once in a while will look a top four side (e.g. Hull)

There is no need for a counter argument. Osvaldo and lambert have completely different skillsets and we can play one or both depending on the opposition. You are trying to suggest Lambert has no future at St Mary's which is quite laughable. And as for Rodriguez, he is still learning to control the football let alone be in Lamberts class.

I'd go with that plus Reed on the bench..

Rodriguez is miles away from being a top striker... and Osvaldo is not clearly better, hardly contributed as yet... I think you should be stopped from posting as your ignorance is embarrassing.

I don't think MP ever throws the towel in... as per Saturday with 4 'squad' players we could easily have beaten Man City. What you are basically saying is that everyone will go mental if we get knocked out and blame it on team selection.. and I think MP puts out every team thinking its going to win.. you have little faith in the squad apparently.

I agree Osvaldo needs a run in the team, but apart from his goal on Saturday, he still has a lot to prove in the EPL.. lets hope he adjusts quickly.

Meaningless statistics.. I'm referring to passes that create chances; Morgan would certainly be nowhere to be seen.. anyone can pass the ball around and keep it as we have shown all season; but we do not create and Lambert is still the best at assists

I think you need to get past the anti-Lambert opinion you have... Lambert is still our best passer of a football.. we will replace him but not until we sign better creative players which we do not have at present

So who do you see has the technical ability in our squad over and above Lambert; or have we not signed him yet. Lambert will provide most assists in our team and will play a fair amount of games this season.. out to grass.. nonsense

We maybe need a back-up Goalkeeper,but there no-one better than Boruc in terms of controlling the penalty area and is in Schmeichel's class in terms of 1:1s..

An absolutely outstanding game and performance Chambers looks quality, Cork introduced the pass into the inside channels which Rodriguez and Osvaldo are looking for and unfortunately we do have a quicker tempo with Osvaldo rather than Rickie. Yesterday showed me the value of a Saints Season Ticket.

Hang on.. we still have a competitive side out today.. agree on Ramirez gamble but this game is winnable; think we ened to hit the front players quicker and put their defence under pressure.

Unfortunately, Lambert is the only current team player than can slide the through ball.. which somewhat defeats your argument. He is definitely not playing to his usual high standards but the reason is unclear; carrying an injury, tiredness sue to this pressing style.. hopefully its just a dip in form.

Definitely going through a poor spell.. maybe Hodgson's disease.. as its off the back of the England caps. He spends far too much time in deeper positions now; almost as if he does not expect any decent service so goes hunting for it.

Thank God the posters on here aren't involved at the club... its a squad game.. Chambers was excellent early doors, Cork for Wanyama, Davis for Schneiderlin, Ramirez for Ward-Prowse and we will only lose 3-0 Saturday

A somewhat defeatist attitude... given no expectation of points away to Arsenal/Chelsea; its one off game defensively. We will still finish top ten as there are a lot of average EPL sides.
