I doubt Clattenberg would have seen the deliberate movement of the arm towards the ball, hence the benefit of the doubt to the defender. We did not lose becoz of that incident.. we do not create enough in the final third to win games against the top six sides

EVERTON MATCH questionnaire for Love Everton Forum
SaintSteve replied to Love Everton Forum's topic in The Saints
All the best for Everton... play much better football under Martinez IMO... and you had more potency in the final third, otherwise felt the game was fairly even. -
I don't see anyone else in our team who could have or would have tried from that distance. He is the missing link in our team so if MP does not see that, then we have a problem going forwards as we lack creativity in the final third.
-
Yes.. Why on earth Ramirez is not given a run is baffling. MP just does not want to lose the defensive stability provided by the likes of JWP/Davis appears to be the sole reason.
-
We need to get away from this Lambert bashing... Rodriguez was poor and hardly in the game.. at least Lambert was involved in our offensive moves
-
Possession of the football does not equate to being the better team.. Everton are more potent in the final third, which is why we need to either play Ramirez or buy an equivalent. Rodriguez was poor today and so we had no threat in their penalty box. Still, we are a top ten side so that's progress.

What drugs are you on... he's an average manager in the Premier League.. that's all. Although he got his tactics spot on at St Mary's
-
Your credibility disappeared when you compare Lambert with Holt. And by the way, Lambert is playing deeper as MP wants him to there to create.. a la Rodriguez goal against Cardiff.
-
You wouldn't but anyone with a brain would... and that includes MP thankfully

Total class today.

EXCLUSIVE: Manchester United plan to sign Adam Lallana
SaintSteve replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
This... there are some dreamers on this website.. it was only recent past that Lallana was close to being dropped and last season was substituted after 70mins every game. -
EXCLUSIVE: Manchester United plan to sign Adam Lallana
SaintSteve replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
This whole post is based on Daily Star fantasy... its only this season that Lallana has shown real potential to attain to a top four club level. You lot live in a dream world.. take off those red and white tinted glasses. -
WE can also agree on Lambert dropping his standards dramatically of late.
-
You are right.. Barcelona don't have a plan B and are being found out consistently. Who would you have played at Right back then.. or perhaps playing no-one there is better than Fox ? We Have lost to Arsenal away, Chelsea Away - both expected We played very well v Man City and Newcastle WE made basic errors v Aston Villa & Spurs probably as we do not have the squad depth of other top six teams. Not sure how MP can be blamed for basic errors from squad players.
-
Oh.. and didn't Rodriguez play well yesterday, he was as bad if not worse than Lambert. At Least Lambert was involved in the game and, oh yes, he scored.
-
No, I'm the intelligent one that you can't deal... actually, you probably can't deal with anyone at all.. your posts are just funny to read, nothing else
-
Sorry but Clyne's weakness is defensive headers which is probably why no big team went for him. He will not be as good as Shaw will be.. anyone who thinks that has lost the plot completely. He is very good though and missed when injured.
-
Sorry, but Fonte is not injured, he would not be on the Subs bench if we could not come on for an injured defender... where do you get this rubbish from
-
Yes, and I do not understand why Ramirez has not been given a run... can split open defences with one pass. Another psoitvie was Chambers who is going to be a class act.. not sure about full back, maybe midfield in the longer term.
-
Wanyama is not the reason we leak goals.. its simple.. the defence have no confidence in the goalkeeper and its spreading through the team.
-
There is nothing wrong with Fonte.. has been dropped for a reason only MP can explain.. probably in Spanish cos an English version would make no sense whatsoever
-
Don't blame Fox for today's defeat.. he played OK... take a look at Gazza/Hoovield.
-
Boruc would have caught the cross for the 1st goal which was the key to the whole game... the defence has no confidence in him so we will continue to leak goals while he is playing.
-
Not sure why we would play Osvaldo; anonymous at Newcastle and has yet to integrate into our playing style. I would go with the same team in the latter part at Newcastle with Lambert, Davis and lallana behind JRod as his pace will terrify Spurs CBs
