I don't think anyone of intelligence needs to substantiate the previous regime as positive. We have risen from league 1 to the EPL under Cortese. We have sold Lallana, Shaw, Lambert with Schneiderlin and Lovren likely to follow, under the new regime. Not too speculative that, is it ?
-
laughable... you can be as 'glass half full' as you like.. but we are the only team in the PL that is selling off its best assets.
-
No need for an Emotional rant... no complaint either, we have had a bad experience with Pablo so hopefully RK can manage him better. We are all allowed to have opinions without getting stupid responses like yours.
-
High risk - temperamental Italian who scores in the Dutch league and 29 years old in a couple of weeks.. hope RK knows what he's doing.
-
Thats why most of our players said he is a world class coach... you must know more than them.
-
He has potential to be a great player... no argument there... but will RK have the patience and willing to play him when MP would not.
-
That's not the point... the poster said he was absolute class for Uruguay, whereas he been selected for 12 minutes of WC football so its an inaccurate statement. MP also had the same opinion so he spent most of the season on the subs bench. Sure he has natural ability but for posters on here to rant on about him after providing one good corner is quite frankly ludicrous.
-
12 minutes of football at the WC... if he was absolute class, surely he'd be playing from the start.
-
And you can see why... would not have scored many at Chelsea; he's better off playing wide and attacking with the ball; not intelligent enough as a lone striker as tonight clearly showed.
-
Exactly... lack of movement, no fluidity.. absolutely shocking.
-
Wrong... he has no tactical nous and his job is to product a TEAM and not just rely on individuals. As I said earlier, the writing was on the wall when Chile outclassed us tactically in a friendly.. We need a modern coach to take our youngsters into the European Championships.
-
Lets see whether the dinosaurs at the FA will sack the dinosaur we have as manager.. unable to make a 'team' out of this squad is disgraceful..
-
The writing was on the wall when we played a friendly against a Chile second eleven... Hodgson has no tactical nous; a dinosaur.. we are so rigid in our formation, most teams could defend against us.
-
Undone by sheer quality..
-
Daily Telegraph hinted that Lallana may get a start... need his finesse over Wellbeck's honest endeavour IMO.
-
Everton already interested... have to be quick which we are generally not.
-
He's simply not good enough..and does not suit the Premier League
-
Is he ready to take Lallana's role if he leaves though... could save us a lot of spondoolies
-
Good luck with trying to find one... Boruc is easily good enough as our No 1.. need another competent one to challenge him.
-
Reasons for sellling our Crown Jewels.....
SaintSteve replied to david in sweden's topic in The Saints
Nowhere.. there is no logical reason for selling your best players when you're trying to move forwards in the EPL. -
Yes.. in Eling, may have been the Rufus.
-
Chalk and cheese I'm afraid... Robben is on a different planet to any of our offensive players; and you don't notice his pace as much as his technical finesse.. although he has both in abundance. Having said that, I think a combination of Sterling and Lallana would have been better last night, gives us a bit more variation, and the Italian defence would have had more to think about.
-
Yes, but finesse won over pace last night
-
Koeman will have different ideas, but an 'upgrade'... no-one knows as we only have experience of MP who has been fantastic for the players. Can only hope we continue to play attractive football; as that is what keeps me going to games.
-
It is... and Shaw is not ready to start.. he still has lapses in concentration which is to be expected for someone so young. The same applies to Barkley who looks great going forwards, but gave the ball away in dangerous places in midfield... I doubt Roy will take the risk.
