Absolutely superb second half..Ward-Prowse excellent, but thought Valery played well given his lack of minutes.
-
That was my impression, albeit watching on a live stream. The first half hour was shambolic, and although we scored twice, it was through individual brilliance rather than any great build-up. We have a major issue in the creation department, our so called No 10s don’t score or create and so the pressure is on the forwards to create from nothing. Ings was competent in that area but Armstrong/Adams will struggle.. luckily we have a short term solution in Broja.
-
Surely that’s normal as a high percentage have been vaccinated..it’s the idiots who don’t get vaccinated that put the pressure on the NHS

Another two points thrown away.. Ralph spent the last 15 minutes gesticulating to all and sundry; pity he couldn’t get across the message to manage the game out with the extra man. Sadly , the board may run out of patience soon.
-
You clearly weren’t at the match.. Ward-Prowse was average at best.
-
From i where I was sitting, we controlled the 1st half with the ball, and the second half bar the initial 10 minutes, without the ball. I think Ralph’s automatism was very visible last night given the amount of covering provided in different areas of the pitch, compared to Villa who looked a disjointed outfit in comparison. For me, Salish was my MOTM, bar a couple of dubious pass backs, Simply because he marshalls the defence so well. Livramento has obviously been ear marked for special treatment by the opposition, as he is now closed down far quicker than earlier in the season. Just part of the learning process he will go through..still played well.

Haha.. from someone who rates a manager’s ability on net spend 😂😂

In your opinion Howe is not premier standard.. I think you’ll find you are in the minority of football savvy people.. and in the majority of people, like you, who know little about the sport.
-
One would think so as he’s definitely got that X-factor. However, I’ve a feeling he may stick with the two upfront from last week and bring Broja on second half.
-
I think you’ll find both clubs spent approximately the same on incoming transfers from the 2014/15 seasons. Worth researching before making assumptions.
-
Except he kept Bournemouth in the prem for 5 seasons playing more attractive football than most bottom half teams.
-
C’mon, I thought you went to TGS 😊.. not sure Ward-Prowse/Diallo combo are physical enough for Watford. it may well happen though when Romeu gets his inevitable suspension.
-
You clearly don’t go to our matches - maybe your stats analysis is misleading you 😂
-
There’s only one stat of any use in football - goals scored. Everything else is just nerd food.
-
About sums it up..
-
Phillips doesn’t play your so-called No 8 role. He’s just a far better footballer than Ward-Prowse will ever be. You should try going to our matches, he’s been poor this season which tells me you spend too much time on meaningless stats than actually watching a player to decide whether he’s performing.
-
Yes he was out of control. It was a senseless tackle as even if he’d won the ball, a free kick would have been awarded. I’m not too disappointed as Ward-Prowse has been average at best this season and I want to see Diallo given a run as our forward play may well speed up as a result.
-
Just about sums up today’s debacle..however, I’d go one step further as I believe a change of coach would change the way we play and improve the team. I’d rather watch Howe’s attacking philosophy than Ralph’s turgid football, whether we are relegated or not.
-
My sentiments exactly. It was turgid at best. Ralph’s team selection and formation beggars belief, the only result of which was to hope for a draw.
-
Certainly does.. it helps identify the clowns that post on here.
-
Hopefully this is the clubs stance..the only worrying trend is the poor results all levels of the club were getting last season following the same Hassenhutl formation.

Jannik Vestergaard - Official: Signs for Leicester

That maybe, but they’ll be far better at Leicester under Rodgers who doesn’t tend to go for kamikaze tactics a la Ralph. -

Vesterguard is a very good footballer as long as you don’t let him get exposed for pace. As seen in the Euros, he was more than comfortable playing in a back three, preferably on the left. In terms of Bertrand, he’s a very clever full back who rarely loses duals. Even on crosses he leans on the forward to prevent being out jumped, as he’s not the tallest; plus as you say he has a great delivery, although not utilised much here due to Ward-Prowse. Your certainly do well with these two additions to your squad. -
Agreed. JWP is a very good club player but not International class. As for Phillips, he’s a level above and can spray long passes as well as shore up the midfield.. just look at Leeds with and without him, the difference is stark. It’s Ings who should be going as he’s one of only a few who are natural goal scorers, unlike Calvert- Lewin or Rashford.

Although we’ve witnessed the same pattern every game ending in defeat, I don’t think we need a major overhaul. Sell Vesterguard/Ward-Prowse and use the proceeds on a Right sided pacy CB who is captain material and organises the back four, alongside Salisu. The right sided CB must have pace as KWP is never there. A new Left back, preferably defensive minded as two KWPs is not conducive to clean sheets. Buy a tall midfield box to box midfielder..perhaps Delaney fits the bill. Then we have him plus Romeu/Diallo. Two from three of Adams/Ings and Tella as the strike force. offload Redmond / Djenepo and buy a goal scoring wide man..perhaps the Bournemouth guy. This leaves us Armstrong/Walcott/new man Perhaps it is a major overhaul 😂.. not convinced Ralph is the man though as we must be formation flexible.
