No, no, we have chip and pin cards. I have two - well, one is a chip card, it has no PIN. And when I used them in England, a couple of months ago, I still had to sign, even with the one I had a PIN for.

There is the potential for such a good discussion here but any reasonable statement is shot down and derided by the Canadian. There is a lot wrong with this country but there is a lot right with it too. Just as there is with Britain, Canada and any other country you care to mention. Regarding what Verbal has said, he has a point. I have been stunned by comments made, by otherwise sensible and sane people, about the President. However, I truly believe that my children (who are teenagers) are color blind when it comes to skin and I think the vast majority of their friends are too. There are no easy answers to the gun issue because it is so ingrained in the culture. Politicians rarely dare to speak out about it because they will be targeted for defeat in the next election.

I'm surprised no one has picked up on Henry Winter's comments in an article, mainly, about Wilshere. By the sound of it, the children and I might be the only ones in the away section. It is expensive but not often we get a chance to go. Hope we don't bring bad luck, although the last game the three of us went to was first game of Championship season against Leeds. 3-1 win that day.

Shambolic? Really? How is it the club's fault that the guy gives up and goes home after a few weeks because he is homesick? It takes a while to settle in a foreign country. If he has gone because he is homesick that is totally his fault for not trying to make it work. It is better he is gone but doesn't leave much time to bring someone else in his place.

Irene - you did yourself a deeper and deeper hole. To be honest, any "abuse" you have received has been mild compared to what is often dished out. It is pretty clear that Boruc is well loved by the fans and most feel for him in this situation but hope he will be professional and fight for his place. The club has a player on the books now who has lost a child and he was treated very well by the vast majority of all fans, not just ours. I have lost a loved one and no amount of money can bring her back, you are right, but to say footballers have it worse is crazy. I am sure there are some on here who have put their lives on the line for their country or have lost loved ones in that way. Don't look for sympathy for footballers on that front. They earn a lot of money and know that abuse is one thing they may experience during their careers. We all have to get on with our careers whatever is going on in our lives, most without any money in the bank to fall back on.
