  1. I think more Americans then anyone realizes know there is a massive problem but they get screamed at if they raise their voices. What happened to good old fashioned debate? Love him or hate him, Piers Morgan posted the pictures on Twitter yesterday and, as he wanted, got screamed and yelled at. Only seen the headline but it suggested that Marco Rubio, a presidential candidate, had commented that what is wrong with society that so many people value others' lives so cheaply that they think nothing of shooting so many. Would "gun control" make a difference? How would you get all the illegal guns out of circulation? Obama despairs of the situation and if a president feels like that, what hope is there? There are some valid points in the screamings of our fellow posters but are lost in their screaming. It requires rational debate. No one trying to take away anyone's freedoms but we need to put more value on human life.
  2. Well said!
  3. Would this be such a bad thing? We know Saints will never win the Premier League but we might win a league without the big clubs. Would make it a more open competition - more like Holland than Scotland. Much more interesting and would we care if there wasn't the money? Even those of us living overseas would probably still find we could watch games.
  4. Maybe there can be a more rational debate now Sarnia is banned. Unfortunately, rational debate is so hard to have anywhere on any topic. This is a great country to live in. Yes, it has its issues, gun control being one of the biggest. I don't see anything changing, radically, in any of our lifetimes. jjsaint - it is moving slower than a glacier. Obama should be in a perfect spot to try to make real change. He never will run for office again so take advantage of the last two years to propose radical change. It won't go through but maybe can advance the debate. The second amendment right was there for a very different time - when communication was slow, everyone had the right to take up arms against another army - say if the British tried to take back the country. We don't need that now - we have armed police to defend us. Oh.
  5. That is surprising as, stereotyping, you would expect a NYC lawyer to be a Democrat and more likely to be in favor of gun control. As I say, I'm stereotyping.
  6. The last two are playing extra time, some others only a goal away from going our way
  7. It is still possible that we will be - based on all the research others have done
  8. Did not know there was a Cincinnati Saints...I go there occasionally. Have to check their schedule next time.
  9. Just before Saint Abroad had a chance to see him in Philly.
  10. None working for me right now
  11. Been looking too. Hoped it might be on WatchESPN as they have some games not shown by Fox during group stages.
  12. Don't tell Saint George that, he believes we are in another meltdown.
  13. Or the Atlanta news
  14. I'm wondering who he has been talking to. I never hear anything like that. If anything, people are interested in the success of the club. Partly because, as Washsaint says, NBC are very complimentary about us.
  15. Was Clyne one of our two best players? Spurs fans must be desperately disappointed they didn't get Schneiderlin on the cheap.

Nope, never have. I think you might find, if you cared to look, that we have fans all over the world too. Your post is very patronizing and unnecessary. There are many holes to be picked in it but it is not worth it. None of us know exactly how this all came about and probably never will but he is just another player and we will find a replacement. And what do you expect him to say in the video? "unfortunately, Atletico didn't want me anymore and I had to choose between two smaller clubs"
  17. Where's the yank influence coming from?
  18. Are you serious? It may have meant nothing to you but it clearly did to them. They had just clinched third place, way beyond anyone's expectations before the tournament, and beaten the number 1 team in the world for the first time in 21 attempts. I think that is worthy of "jumping around like loons"
  19. Sunday Times say he would prefer Arsenal and to remain in the south of England. Man U are his second choice. http://www.thesundaytimes.co.uk/sto/public/share/uuid/2748a770-226f-11e5-8806-2cc2b357794a
  20. I interpreted post 311 as meaning if we sell him 24 hours before the window closes, and then try to get a replacement, we have to pay over the odds to push a deal through. Not that we need to sell before we can buy.
  21. Has anyone said we don't have the money? If we don't sell him, we don't need a replacement.
  22. Very moving. And I am guilty of saying it's very complicated. It is. But something has to change.
  23. Didn't he say it was a sarcastic response to the debate that has gone on, on various threads, around this very question? The9 has provided a good response too. I was worried it was a reference to some people's view that you can't be a real fan if you haven't been to/weren't born in/haven't lived in Southampton. Or because you got in a spat with him about religion. Redslo comes across as reasonable poster who argues his case well and doesn't resort to insults.
