Arrived at my hotel about 4 am. Caught up on some sleep and now ready to enjoy Israel and the game tonight. Long and exhausting trip but so happy I made it. Forget politics for a day.

That will seriously impact sightseeing on Friday! Obama and many others attending.

Interesting because, on the club website, he is quoted as saying he hopes he scores again like the last time he played in Israel. Guess they hadn't told him he wasn't going before publishing that article.

Yes, did think it was 8 pm. With buses leaving at 3.30 pm, we will be at stadium around 5 pm.

It is? Huh. For me, it's the opportunity to go somewhere I probably would otherwise never go and see my team play. If it's friendly, great, if it's hostile, no worries.

Why the attitude? Lot of useful information there and the bus to and from Tel Aviv does make it easier...unless you are coming from Jerusalem! Clicked on the link to the Be'er Sheva bar and it's in Hebrew so no idea how close to the stadium it is.

There are organized bus tours that do day trips to Jerusalem and Dead Sea combined so might be worth looking at - looks like they run regardless of Sabbath

I doubt anyone else is arriving at the airport at around 2.30 am on Thursday morning. Looks like trains are running through the night and, hopefully, taxis available for the last leg. Has anyone heard anymore on the club running buses back to Tel Aviv after the game? I have emailed twice to ask about it with no response.

When I'm lazy, I usually book with who the hotel has a relationship with. Not necessarily the best or cheapest but usually decent. Viator is a worldwide brand that offers tours from Tel Aviv

Exactly! Would be nice to know if there is definitely a bus or not. Makes a big difference after the game. I haven't had the call about the bus and they haven't replied to my email about it - probably can't afford the transatlantic phone call!

We are spoiled with the NBC PL coverage. Hopefully they will show the remaining games on one of the Fox Sports channels. Some games were on WatchESPN but not Saints. Speaking of ESPN, i looked at ESPN FC last night but they ignored our game too.

Stupidly, assumed it would be live as the only English team at 3 pm Eastern. Doesn't look like DirecTV do the Europa channels anymore. Some games on ESPN3 but Saints live is on Fox Soccer 2 Go - for which additional subscription needed.

I have two overnight flights just to get to TA so I just figure I will forget sleep as much as I can - plenty of caffeine etc to keep me going and sleep on the way home. Looking at the day trip options for Jerusalem and Dead Sea. Probably crazy traveling so far but you only live once.

I scrolled through the previous posts but wondering what latest best bets are. I can arrive in Tel Aviv at 3 am on day of the game and will probably fly back out very early on Sunday morning (5 am). A hotel by airport would be best to crash when I arrive but what are best options for the other nights? Seems like most people trying to get back to Tel Aviv after game.

As a member, I can buy a ticket to the Be'er Sheva game as of today. Looking at airfares yesterday, it was about $3000 (approx 2000 pounds). Suddenly today it's down to $1100. For a chance to see Saints in Europe, I have to do it. Then figure hotel etc!
