The US will save nearly 400 billion on oil imports this year;
RoswellSaint replied to Window Cleaner's topic in The Lounge
Hey, don't stereotype immigrants! Don't lump us all in with Saint George. -
Except it is not banned, as I stated above.

When my kids were mascots for the Plymouth game last month, I was told that we could use a video camera up until kick off but we could take photos at any time. We took pictures of the game. All the steward near us said was "did you get me in the picture?".

And Wednesday Have Far More Debt Than Saints
RoswellSaint replied to St Landrew's topic in The Lounge
Didn't Tommac claim to be involved there or "threaten" to take investors to Wednesday instead of us? Maybe he is behind this! -
There probably are several small banks in the US that would qualify as ethical, just hard to find among the big names. The current banking mess probably has my dad, a salt of the earth, career small town banker, spinning in his grave. He hated what he saw happening to the banks even back in the 80's.

For once it seems that it is the rich guys that got scammed this time - from what I have read so far. BTW, is there such a thing as an ethical bank anymore?

Unfriggingbelieveable.

You must be jealous. You seem to like talking about it.

The vast number of kids that play but give up, because there are limited opportunities to keep playing, suggests that there have to be many that have the talent but need the coaching and be given the opportunities to make the most of it. It is a good investment by any club to establish contacts over here. As I have pointed out before, Ted MacDougall is Youth Dirctor with the Atlanta Silverbacks. What better than an old player to let Saints know about good prospects in Atlanta?

I will have to give the Verizon aircard a try in my hotel room in Greenville, SC on Monday.

2-1 to Saints.
-
Maybe that will bring a change of luck. Don't see any sign of it on later in the day.

Should we still watch this space? When does early December finish and we move into mid-month? Have more pictures been moved?

Anything is better than what is there now.

I can remember going to the Science Museum as a child and being fascinated by the interactive displays they had then. Some areas we went through last week looked like they had not been updated since the 50s though. In the Launchpad area, they had people to explain the science behind the exhibits which had my children, their cousins and other children there enthralled. The Science Museum should always be aiming at the children of the day. St L, you sound a little patronising on that point. Many of the exhibits were low tech but full of scientific interest and value. We had planned to go to the Natural History Museum but ran out of time. Next time we are in London, maybe.

Someone understands me.

Nick - having been to see Saints last week, I actually enjoyed not having all the music and other sideshow entertainment! Although you are correct on the quality of the sideshow. I have never really enjoyed basketball, maybe because the Atlanta team has always been fairly bad. College is better - because they are not professional there are more errors. NBA seems a constant stream of scoring. One team scores, the other goes down the other end and scores and so on.

Can't have been recently then

I was there on Friday with my children. They had a great time on a rainy afternoon. They spent most of their time in the Energy Room and the Launchpad. We had to almost drag them out of there.

Good to know there is a Saint in Naples. I am there a couple of times a year. Will be down over Christmas and New Year. Poor old Art, seems like you were, maybe, having a bad day but a belated Happy Thanksgiving to you.

Back home now from my trip to the old country. The highlight, by far, for my children was their chance to be the mascots against Plymouth. From the moment we arrived, everyone was extremely friendly and helpful - whether it was those working behind the scenes or the players lining up in the tunnel and on the pitch with them. Even the referee joked with them before they walked out. To cap my evening, MLT was there and couldn't have been more patient as my wife struggled to get the camera to take a picture of the children with him (oh, of course, I got in the picture too). Just a shame we couldn't win! So many negative things get posted on here about SFC, I wanted to get some positive words out there.

OK, accept your point. Up until this year the politicians inspired apathy here with declining turn out on Election day. Obama did change that.

In his defence, he didn't say he had stopped supporting just not going regularly. I remember back when we were relegated in '74, I was 11 years old and I said to my dad that I would have to find a new team. He pointed out Saints needed my support more than ever and you support your team through thick and thin. It has stuck with me and I have stuck with Saints. Makes you miserable at times though!

Ah, but in the view of John Smith, you are not a fan as you responded to him. I have a lot of respect for John as he usually argues his case well, I don't agree with him usually but he doesn't resort to insults. While I dislike the "i'm a better fan than you" arguments, it seems odd that a fan could want the team to lose. Dislike the board all you want, dislike the manager, etc but I would hate for us to get hammered today or any day.
