There was a debate about the use of the word last year, that time with a pro-Lowe person using it to describe someone else's affect on the club. For the record I lost my father to the disease and will likely lose my wife to it (mother of two young children). To my mind, SaintRobbie was using the word in a generally accepted way. Nothing offensive. An example of people being too sensitive these days.

Unbelieveable...spent most of the second half on a conference call for work. Maybe I need one on Saturday during the Brum game.

Great win, unexpected despite last week. Sounds like a great performance - can't wait to get reports from those there. Shame that Forest and Plymouth won but good that Charlton only drew, Norwich lost. If we can keep this type of performance up, we will be ok.

How many non-Saints fans know Rupert Lowe is chairman, let alone have an opinion on him? Who is chairman of Ipswich, Nottm Forest or Charlton?

From what Gemmel said, Wotte was approached to run the academy. Did he say JP was asked, in April, to become manager? If not, still not real evidence. Regardless of the rights and wrongs of how he handled Pearson, it would not be unreasonable to approach someone to see if they would be interested if the position became available. Just like Crouch apparently did a few weeks ago.

I'm going by what is posted on here as, like LV said, we can't listen outside the UK. Gemmel said that Wotte said he was approached in April to run the academy not replace Pearson. Not being pro-Lowe but it seems people are reading more into what was said to try to prove their points.

Why? Apart from being ground that has been raked over 100 times or more on here. We knew in April last year that Lowe was trying to come back. It is known that Lowe approached Wotte previously (the three years ago referred to?). Is it unreasonable that he might contact him in April and say "In a few weeks, I should be in control at Southampton. Not sure what will happen regarding the manager but are you still interested in coming here if there is an opening?"
