Is Adkins living up to your expectations?

Ok, sounds like you are happy to see us struggle against the likes of Rochdale and Carlisle. That's your opinion and you are welcome to it! -

Agreed. With our support, facilities, current squad and financial resources, getting out out this league this season should be no big deal. Even a half decent manager should at least get us to the playoffs. If we are truly ambitious and if the all important money is in place, why do we not obtain a really top class manager? This is probably the most important piece of the jigsaw. Talk is cheap, why not show some REAL ambition Mr Cortese - Get the BEST people in even if it means loosening the purse strings a little. -
Thanks agent Gaydamak - job nearly done!

FWIW I wouldn't want Hammond or Spiderman in the team. I would prefer to see 4-3-3 with three new midfield players - a ball winner, a runner and a creative/goalscoring player. Not going to happen this season is it?

At Last!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! A midfielder!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hurrah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now we need another one, a real muck and netttles league one battler who can win the ball and show some determination. Then we can drop 'dumb' and 'dumber' who "played" in midfield for us on Saturday.

+1 Certain players have let the club down. Surgery required and fast! -

So disappointing today. The players didn't do it for Markus and were outbattled by a less than talented Orient side. Some of our players played like zombies with boots made out of cement. The pre-season results were poor and this form has continued with us now dropping vital league points at home. We desperately need more effective midfield players and an injection of pace. This has been stark staring obvious for a very long time now. I get the feeling that Pardew knows he is going to be replaced and this is now reflected in the poor preparation and performance of the team. Just lumping the ball up to Ricky isn't going to cut it. -

Lee would represent a good signing. In some games, we could play both Lambert and Lee. Either way, Lee would allow us to rest Ricky from time to time and he would still get plenty of games in the three cup competitions. -
Even if we do make one or two further signings, as usual we will have left it TOO LATE. Then we will get all the excuses about the team needs time to 'gel' etc. AP bemoaned a lack of pre-season last time around but if we do sign players this late, then once again we will have lost valuable preparation time. I cannot believe that there were no decent players at this level, who were keen to join us before now. I am not having a go at AP but I do wonder what is going on, especially as he keeps playing the likes of Pulis. What's the point?

Maybe he's not injured really. Just being protected so that he can be sold.

We need two midfield players imo. One a ball winner and one a playmaker. Spiderman and Hammond need competition and, who knows, we may bring in even better players. -
Can we have a Papa Waigo vs Antonio poll please Mods?

Pardew's post match interview on Solent
PaulGilchrist_76 replied to Nineteen Canteen's topic in The Saints
It's no use Pardew blaming individuals after the match. After all, he picked and prepared the team, didn't he? Fair play in that he has given them a chance, but he should get rid of the usual losers that have cost us so many points. They are not nearly good enough in any league. Simple! If he has the money, he should replace the entire team from last season, with the exception of Kelvin, not just half of it. If he doesn't have the money, he could pick volunteers from the crowd, they really couldn't do any worse. -

On the debit side All of a sudden, this consortium doesn't seem so clever. 1. Any further delays now are damaging the club big style. 2. If Pinnacle are so smart, why was the 'sticking point' not anticipated and dealt with within the 21 days? 3. If they are definitely going to buy the club, why not sign up now and focus on building a team capable of making up the ten points and still win the league! 4. Is 'Mr Big' pulling out, or perhaps he doesn't exist at all? 5. Why is Fry not saying/doing anything? 6. Of the only alternative bids, we have either a complete nutter or a phantom 'mystery bidder' possibly Swiss but certainly full of holes? On the credit side....................... Tony says everthing will be okay.
