  1. Rasiak is far lazier than John, completely lightweight and contributes a lot less to the overall team play. John can score a goal out of nothing, and his supposed 'laziness' is more because he is intelligent and knows where the goal is. A lot different to the headless chicken that is Marek Saganowski. The team i picked would easily be good enough for league 1 (remember we are a league 1 club now) In McLaggons few appearance he showed glimpses of class which suggests he would be more than capable at this level, Schniederlin has prem clubs after him ffs and is our most talented player (along with lallana). Also Gillet would definately excel at this level, as would Lallana. Plus we would still have Wotton and James to come in to the side.
  2. John would be absolute quality in League 1. He is lazy but no way near as bad as Rasiak, he is the only player that can hold it up and the only one that can shoot properly. John with a few nippers playing off him would work well. Get rid of Rasiak and Saga as soon as possible and those bigging up Paterson clearly haven't seen him play, he is no way near good enough for this level yet and Thompson doesn't look to be good enough either. A front 6 of McLaggon Schniederlin Gillet Holmes Lallana John This would be good enough for play-offs i reckon.

    Surman

I reckon in a few years he will be comfortable at premier league level. He will benefit from having better and more intelligent players around him.
  4. The only man that looked like saving us last season. Cheers for a few flashes of brilliance (preston away, palace home) He will be a decent Championship player and could even make the prem.
  5. 'Beckford, Cox and Lambert'!? For 1million!? you do talk sh*t!
  6. well don't name players then worth more than 1 million, because we wouldn't be able to buy players LIKE that, with that sort of money. Cox is worth around 2.5 million so i don't really see what your point is. Also you said 2 decent strikers, do we have 4 million to spend??? so great idea! I don't see how anyone can slag off McGoldrick when he was the only one who looked like saving us last seaon.
  7. I think Cox and Beckford would cost quite a bit more than £1 million
  8. If you think Paterson is better than McGoldrick then you are f*cking mental
  9. The fact you portsmouth fans are on here highlights how much of an inferiority complex you have. You know that you will never truely be the 'bigger' club. You may have won the FA Cup with your african XI but none of those are real Skates and now you have sold your footballing soul to a rich arab. I would much rather support a proper club, real fans, players that have come up through the academy than support a bunch of money grabbing journeymen, playing in a sh*thole of a stadium in a city filled with munters and that stinks of fish.
  10. He will be quality in a few years.
  11. From what i have seen Paterson and Jake Thompson are no way near a good enough standard, even for league 1. I think lloyd James will develop into a quality player and i reckon Gillet is definately worth keeping hold of.
  12. stop bringing out all this sh*te about the support being great this season, the atmosphere at home is awful. Its understandable, but making out that the team has been backed fully is wrong, only a small part of the ground sing and they aren't even very loud.
  13. I agree with him to some extent, although you super fans seem to think you are creating an amazing atmosphere at SMS, You are completely wrong! The atmosphere is always completely dead, which is understandable given how bad we are. Singing about pompey quite quietly for 90 minutes does not constitute outstanding support. Our supporters are far better vocally away from home, which seems to have been translated onto the pitch. Examples of this are Reading and in particular Preston where the fans lifted the side at 2-0 down and spurred them onto victory. I'm not saying that fans win matches or anything like that, but support does make a big difference. and anyone who thinks that fans don't make a difference, think back to the dell days when we actually did manage to generate a great atmosphere making it an intimidating place for opposing teams.
  14. Schneiderlin is/will be our best player, he is a cut above the rest in the team. He is only 18 so is going to have a few bad games, but on the whole, when he plays well we win.
  15. completely agree with nickh, look at his goal against preston and say that he is sh*t
  16. are you f*cking blind!?
  17. i like the way you have failed really to answer my post, just tried to have a go at me and others for actually going to a match and relatively enjoying it. Whereas as you stay at home in front of a computer screen, getting depressed.
  18. I just don't really understand why you get so upset and are so negative when you don't go to any games, its not costing you anything or wasting any of your time. Instead you just spend all your time on the internet (nice one mate!) slagging off players, managers, chairman and so called 'happy clappy' fans who have commited the ultimate sin of being positive and enjoying going to a football match.
  19. I dont really see why Alpine bothers, he/she/it clearly doesn't enjoy football and is now trying to ruin it for everyone else. For me McGoldrick was Man of the Match and young Kayne looks like a good prospect. Hope hes brought in gradually, i was also impressed with oscar and thought Cork (as always) had a good game. Hopefully some sort of result, or just a good performance vs Man Utd can change our season. what a bad footballing year 2008 has been! Roll on 2009
  20. I do agree with many parts of what your saying, but i hate the way everyone is so quick to slag off a player when he clearly has a lot of talent. I obviously exaggerated saying the 'majority' are idiots as your views are correct in many respects and its not people like you that i was referring to. and to that rocknrollman fella, maybe his last minute winner against preston is an indication that hes not actually that bad.
  21. and you are one of those idiots
  22. McGoldrick will become a very good player, the majority of you are idiots and don't understand football.
  23. I agree with Nickg about DMG and i am usually right about these things;)
  24. anyone who thinks Patterson is better than DMG is completely deluded, DMG is by far one of our more skillful players and works alot harder than some of you lot make out. I guess Le Tissier was a shi*t lazy c*nt aswell.
  25. I think if we had to get rid of one it would be Lallana. Although he is great to watch he doesn't have much of an end product, so i dont think we would miss him that much. Surman on the other hand is crucial to our survival, he seems to really care and is a real driving force.
