Couple of years back we were on the second row of that awful paddock section. Think it was the game where Nivea boy had a strop with Tw£ttenburg - although turned out Tw£ttenburg was right - he is a "right jumped up little ***t". Anyway, we were so low down we would actually lose sight of the ball on the other side of the pitch as the camber meant the ball actually dropped below our eyeline. Still, at least there was a good atmosphere from the home crowd [emoji848][emoji99]

What did Artur say about Koeman?

I think you're just seeing "normal" Stoke residents there.

FA Cup 3rd Round Draw - Norwich away. Yawn.

Had to look it up once I'd thought about it. Turns out it's actually 54 at present, if their 3rd round tie is televised as is likely, it'll be 55. http://www.fourfourtwo.com/features/remembered-when-tv-darlings-manchester-united-ruined-fa-cup -

Slight exaggeration, but not massive. Believe it's actually around 45? So no wonder they get all those glory hunting fans. -
Anyone planning to head to Goodison Park on Jan 2nd, be aware that there are major engineering works around Manchester Piccadilly/Oxford Road over Christmas. If you're travelling from Manchester or if your train would come through Manchester to Liverpool (e.g. from Leeds/Sheffield etc), then you'll probably end up on a Rail Replacement Bus. Details can be found here: http://www.nationalrail.co.uk/service_disruptions/148398.aspx

Can you let those of us that weren't at the game today know how the Cedric chant goes?

Every time Alan Green mangles Josh Sims' name, I think he's referring to a 1980s soul singer

Ok, but the lunchtime Burnley v Man City game was on BT today rather than Sky, meaning that both live games today are on BT (which I don't have). I'm a bit confused.
-
any idea how come the Chelsea spurs game is on BT? I thought BT had the Saturday lunchtime games, with Sky doing the teatime ones.

Weirdly, I saw it on SSN before I heard Dave and Big Adam describe it. What a belter. Hope it's one of many, not an Osvaldo-esque one off.

Europa League 2016/2017 (Died 8/12/2016)

It's their ground, so they can ban bags if they want to. If you're not staying over, what will you have with you in your bags? Perhaps leave any bags you have in a left luggage at the airport or a train station? Landing at 4.30 for a 7 pm kickoff is cutting it very fine. Only takes an ATC delay or the incoming flight misses it's slot and you could well miss Kick off. -
Ha. I spotted that too. Not sure England would do much better against Le Tiss than Malta ...

http://www.irishfa.com/news/2016/september/northern-ireland-fans-arrive-in-prague "Around 1100 fans will be in attendance at the Generali Arena to watch the first game since UEFA Euro2016." Slightly better than I thought. Heard Liverpool only got 995. -

That's cos Israel is a really small country, especially widthways (max 70 miles wide) - it's smaller than Wales. So as Swansea is quite close to Newport, Beersheba is close to Gaza -
Commentator phrase that annoy or nobody else says

I listen regularly to the excellent Guardian Football Weekly podcast, they have a routine whereby if anyone attempts to talk about "narrative", they play the "narrative klaxon" - basically a really annoying noise to highlight the faux pas. -

"We're not in Kansas anymore" in the UK we're inoffensive Saints, only Pompey are bothered about us. In Europe we're another English club - i.e. a challenge for any local nutters to prove themselves against. Russia and Turkey will be hostile, but other places may well be lively too. Spoke to some Everton fans a couple of years ago - they said Greece was very lively - hotels used by them getting smashed up by locals, it also kicked off in Lille http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/news/liverpool-news/watch-everton-fans-speak-being-7983350 - all sounded fairly one-sided. -

Once the draw is made, this is a superb tool for working out what's possible in terms of planes, trains etc and costs. https://www.rome2rio.com/ - it's also cookie free as far as I can tell. Android and iOS apps available too. I use it all the time to work out the feasibility of journeys for work. -
Which just illustrates how amateurish the whole thing is - they have only registered a DNS record with the www, and not one without. Many of the features on the OS would qualify for winning entries on the fabulous http://www.webpagesthatsuck.com/
