  1. Just spotted that - mind you that's also Brizzle City's colours. I wonder if Robbie and Gabby will swap hair care tips after the game? Is either of them a natural blonde?
  2. Mr Logic - fookin brilliant. not seen him in ages. My sister had a version of mr logic in her english class at school.
  3. I met him when I won his shirt in the MOTM text vote for the Brighton home game last season. An absolute gent, very warm and friendly. Taller than you expect too, he was taller than me, and I'm 6'. I received the shirt after the FA cup game vs Cheltenham, before the draw. I asked him who he fancied in the next round and he said "someone big, then concentrate on the League". Good guess on his part.
  4. Both are ****e. Try the Danny Baker show on Radio 5. Funnier than soccer am was even when they were good.
  5. We will need: 1 more point than the team that finishes third, or the same points and one better goal difference. We shouldn't set a target as there is no guarantee that any points target will give us promotion, except one - if we win every game between now and May, we'll go up. Anything else is just conjecture. I remember my old boss, who supports West Ham, complaining about how when they were relegated in 2003 they went down with 42 points, a total that would have kept them up in every other year since the dawn of time (yawn). However when I pointed out to him that they were still the 3rd worst team in the division, he had no answer. We don't need a particular points target, we just need to be the best or second-best team at accumulating points. - If we finish 2nd behind the 'Ammers, we can still claim to be the best football team, as they no longer play football, they play hoofball, with a side order of fouling.
  6. this. Even on tv its almost unwatchable. Saints should be in yellow, the red n white shirts blend into the snow. The yellow ball keeps disappearing, and most of the pitch markings are now covered in snow and invisible. Come on Mr Dowd and call it off, and rearrange it for Feb 28th as I'm working in Brum that week.
  7. Great photo. I've needed a new photo for my iPhone lock screen since we've dropped off the top of the table.
  8. If we want to keep it simple, and I think we should, if we change the lyrics but use the following tune, I think it would sound awesome: Tune: "Lee, Lee, Lee, Tadanari Lee, Lee, Lee, Tadanari Lee" Simple, very catchy tune (it was in my head for days after someone posted the link on here around the time of the Skates game), simple lyrics, plus they make no mention of eating dogs etc.
  9. Rooney is a fantastic quality player, but what a piece of s**t he is. Asking for a red card for Kompany when it wasn't even a foul.
  10. Saints have recently appointed a new Ticket Office Manager. From my recent dealings with them, this is a good thing, as there's definitely a need for some better structures & procedures, to avoid e.g. Forest tickets going on sale less than 2 weeks before the game. Haven't we also heard that they'll be bringing a completely new ticketing system for next season regardless, and converting the turnstiles to barcode scanning rather than our current manual process? I'd guess that this new appointment is in order to facilitate these changes. Whether this new manager will bring back memberships is another matter, but if you look at how many other clubs in the Premiership/upper Championship do things, not only do they have memberships, they have different tiers of membership, and purchasing tickets adds points onto your membership tally, then they use these points scores to determine who gets first dibs on high demand games. I have mates who are Citeh ST holders and if they go to pre-season friendlies they get points on their total, or for the less glamorous European games recently (Timisoara in the UEFA last season), they get more points than the higher demand games.
  11. Sean. Best place to get this information is normally the Official Site (that's if the tickets have gone on sale): http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~2546822,00.html £15 Adults, £10 OAP/under 18.
  12. They should stop doing these "specials" now. They're all incredibly contrived now. The Bolivia special was the last decent one. That was a genuine challenge, whereas this India one was mostly full of very lame ideas, and quite a lot of it was rather cringeful - some of it because the "jokes" fell flat, and much of it was quite post-colonial patronising. They also got the name of their starting point (Mumbai) wrong - According to wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mumbai the city of Bombay was officially renamed Mumbai in 1995 - watch any BBC news report that mentions the city and they'll use the name Mumbai, yet Top Gear used the old name all the way through the programme. Either they didn't do their research properly (quite possible), or they were trying to make some kind of political/post colonial point (embarrassing if true)
  13. count me in. Very Frustrating last night that there wasn't even a Jeff stelling type program to follow the game on. I'd be careful about publicising this too widely, the football league might get a bit funny about you broadcasting commentary on one of 'their' games.
  14. Just ignore him, he's a tw at. Hope you managed to get rid of the ticket.
  15. what pub was this?
  16. talked to a Celtic sth back before we signed him permanently. He was quite annoyed that we had their best defender on loan at the time. Have to say I wasn't convinced at first - didn't have a good game vs Cardiff - responsible for their second goal. However since then he's been awesome.
  17. My mum collected seven tickets for our group on Monday, without an email, just used my name and eventually they were able to find them - took them 10 minutes. She then did what the ticket office should have done, and posted them guaranteed next day delivery.
  18. How much is it? One-off or subscription?
  19. I can confirm that Donny is indeed a cracking night out. Went on the **** there recently with work colleagues who live nearby. Locally it's known as Donny Vegas. Folks come from all the smaller towns around Donny for a proper night out, dressed up too. You don't stay in one boozer, it's best to join in the pub crawl up the high street. Also it was refreshing as a middle aged man not to feel like I was at a youth club, theres a wide range of ages out. Just bear in mind if you pull that Donny has the highest incidence of the clap in the uk. Defo better night out than Sheffield though.
  20. Can anyone tell me where exactly do the travel coaches pickup from in Winchester. The Police article mentioned a statue of a man on a horse. Is this the one where all the tramps and goths hang out in the town centre, just by all the posh shops? Before anyone suggests it, I've already looked on there for more detail than just "Departs from the St Mary's Stadium with pick-ups en-route at Eastleigh, Winchester and Chieveley services.", but the whole site is about as much use as tits on a bull.
  21. something about her that fascinates - partly the minor speech impediment (Rs becomes Ws), partly the perky smile. Defo reckon she'd be quite demanding too, wouldn't be happy to just let you get on with it, you'd get lots of "left hand down a bit" instructions all the way through.
  22. ticketmaster = bunch of cu nts
  23. ticketmaster = bunch of ****s
  24. You're talking about greyhound skirts then - "an inch from the hare" or IBM - Inch Below Muff
  25. never read the Tinker Tailor ... either, but I watched the 80s TV show when it came out - it was the TV highlight of the week when I was about 13. So I'll defo want to see this, although i share the concerns about fitting it all into 2 hours. Read Le Carre's Spy Who Came In From The Cold on the strength of the series, brilliant book which captured the utter seediness/soullessness of the world they worked in - then saw the (B&W) film with Richard Burton and Claire Bloom - the black & white made it particularly atmospheric. I can thoroughly recommend both book and film.
