West End Saint

I think Euell has been a decent player for us since towards the end of last season when 1st arrived I thought he was gash but he won me round with some MOM peformances last season and when he has been playing this season he has done well DMG is a different player when Euell plays we need somone with a physical prescence and a bit of experience I hope he stays

I am really looking forward to it you have to hope the players realise that it is a massively important game for some reason I think we are gonna come out and have a right go and dare I say I think we might win. I really enjoyed the last home game I thought it was a good game of football disapointed with the result but thought we played well 1st half. Can't wait for Saturday COYR ! Go to both and all the other games finances allowing even though our home form is sh1 t I love Saturdays watching the Saints cant wait for the UTD game but I am looking forward to Forest more COYR

I have come to the conclusion that the only place to play Lallana is in the hole he has'nt got the discipline or the desire to get to the by line playing wide right the lad has got talent but has not been at his best for the last few weeks

I might get some stick for saying it but I think DMG could be a decent player I just wish his ego was'nt bigger than his talent he has to do things passes shots ect in a flashy Holywood way rather than just do the simple thing well he is a different player when Euell is in the team and like a say if he can grow up and lose the attitude and buckle down and work for the team for 90 mins he COULD be a good player

We need to keep both and build our team around them but if 1 has to go I would rather keep Surman I think he has been our best player this year Lallana is a great prospect but lacking end product at the moment. It will be a kick in the nuts if they both go but you can see that happening just keep your fingers crossed we manage to bail out on Raza Stern John saga and Skachel then maybe we can keep them also like to see us get rid of Robertson and Peckhart and get a decent goal scorer in on loan

It would be fantastic if he stays with us but I have heard 1 or 2 rumors that he is off to Bolton on loan or being sold to them I am not a ITKer but have heard it said a couple of times that is likely to happen. He has been a great loan signing for us but you could see him doing a job in the Prem if he was a bit taller he would make a 1st class centre back and maybe make the grade at Chelski I hope we hang onto him

The system we play works when we press the play high up the pitch and win the ball in the opponents half 1 or 2 quick passes and in on goal when we build up slow from the back we take to long and teams get set and defend the 18 yard box and we run out of ideas. The games we have won and played well Brum Reading Derby have all been when we have presed teams and won the ball in there half we have no plan b and no one to go long to.

At the start of season I would have settled for avoiding relegation and would defo settle for it now at the start I questioned wether the kids and a total Football ethos would work in this league then the kids kind of won me over with a couple of great performances but with the best of the kids going to be sold and the decent loans probablly going we will do well to stay up.

I am sad to say I am in agreement with much of this thread I have been talking the boys up and enjoyed the pass and move and flicks in the hope that it would click and we will find the end product to go with the pretty football but I dont think it is going to happen Lallana is a fantastic prospect but has not really delivered the last few games we have seen very little end product. DMG could be a good player but will not put it in for the full 90 mins everything he trys has to be a bit Holywood why he wont just do the simple things I dont know Robertson has been poor end of Patterson puts the work in but is not ready to lead our line. We also take to long to attack other sides are in on our goal in 2 or 3 passes we are wide open to counter attacks and must toughen up all over the pitch or we will go down

Agreed if we could keep Cork and Pearce I would be 1 happy bunny they are awsome not that botthered about the rest I would rather see Patterson get a run out

I agree this is the team that should play DMG gets some stick on here but I think he is a decent player particularly when Euell plays Morgan & Drew are our best midfield duo by miles and pearce has to start ahead of James I hope Lallana gets back to his best for me he is due a good game COYR

We were in there last season and it was rocking cracking atmosphere cant go this year as I am working but COYR !

No I did manage to catch the last 20 mins and cant agree that they were all over us they had 2 or 3 very dangerous breaks that nearly caught us out but all over us ? I dont think so the breaks they had occured as we were pushing almost everyone forward trying to get the break through. I maintain that we bossed the game played well but lacked the killer pass or shot and I am sure the possesion corners and shots stats would bear that out

I have to agree much as I love Lallana I thought he had his poorest game I have seen last nite he wasnt playing wide he was overplaying taking to many touches needs to get back to basics I love him as a player and think he could be great hope he is back to his best soon
