West End Saint

In my opinion I think that signings is not Nigels strong point & now we are in the prem they are being shown up to be poor decisions it did not start well with the signing of Forte Billy Sharp was never going to be a prem player Jay Rod the jury is out may come good De-ridder not prem standard Jos & Yoshida not looking prem standard Fox good delivery but inept defensively in this league Ramirez looks quality but may be a luxury. It was clear to most of us we did not have the quality defense for the prem I would have been happier with 2 6 million centre backs rather than Ramirez I still also feel we need a quality midfield playmaker a goal keeper & an injection of pace out wide. We have a big squad & spent a lot of money & I don't think we have the right quality for the squad so I have to say we have not done well & may well of wasted a lot of money I hope I am wrong & the players can find there form in the prem but right now it dosent look like it

We dropped 2 points here good first half performance really should have taken more of our chances we had the best chances in the game but Fulham did have more possesion. 2nd half we dropped right off & it was only a matter of when they scored however disapointed with the OG we have to make teams work harder to score against us we do give soft goals away Good to see Morgan back he played well but was lucky not to get sent off Punch very good 1st half Fonte did well all game mental taking Lambo off our main goal threat & a out ball when under the cosh nicking the last gasp equaliser made me feel a little better but that was a game we should have won by half time if we continue making these silly mistakes we will go down

After a excellent start we got taught a lesson we missed Morgan in midfield wooly headed fella ran the show & they had pace wide left & wide right with there full backs pushing on at warp speed they had us 2 v 1 countless times the last 35 mins of the 1st half we hardly had a kick with our midfield all over the place chasing shadows. Jay Rod should have put us 2 up poor finish our keeper should have done better with 2 goals Fonte is nowhere near good enough Yoshida is not going to win enough headers & we gave no support to our full backs we can have no complaints they were miles better than us. I have to ask the question of why we didnt address our defence before this season started we are so open & conceed so many chances that against quality opposition we are always going to need 3 or 4 goals to win a game I dont know if we have the right players or the right style to become a side that is difficult to beat but we have got to tighten up all over the pitch

I thought we played well I was impressed with Jay 1st time I have seen him play as a striker & he did well held the ball up was quick & tidy very good goal he will be decent back up for Lambo. JWP did well as ever & Richardson had a decent game Gazza was good & bad jury still out but has the makings of a decent keeper but not Prem standard as yet. Yoshida looks very good my only concern is in the air not quite strong enough or big enough but decent with the ball at his feet & seems to have a turn of pace we still need another dominant centre back of premiership standard. Seabourne is not good enough poor 1st touch nowhere near prem standards. Enjoyed the game we played some tidy stuff result never in doubt good for the squad to get a run out looking forward to the draw COYS

Lambo was magnificent involved in all the goals scored 2 he is class Ramirez was also qaulity but for me Lambo was mom for me

This is a very important game for us we so badly need a win despite us all knowing it was very unlikely we would get anything from UTD City & Arsenal everyone I talk to is feeling a bit worried I can see the atmosphere being a bit flat unless get a early goal. I know it is very early for all this but the next 2 games could well define the season if we beat Villa & Shef weds we can go on & get some confidence however lose both & NA could be on the way out & the season in tatters fingers crossed coys

Got our tickets & Shef weds tickets so I now have some loyality points still miffed I coudnt get Arsenal tickets despite going to Stevenage I guess this is the joy of the premier league, is it just me but I miss the Championship & league 1 happy days

I am going to try to get tickets for this still gutted we didnt get Arsenal tickets despite going to Stevenage & getting no loayity points for it WTF. This will be a new ground for me so I am looking forward to it fingers crossed we get a ticket.I can see getting away tickets being a pain this season & a bit of a change after having no problem getting what I wanted over the last 5 seasons

I have already vented my spleen on the other thread but hate the OS so much I decided to do so again there is nothing good about it difficult to navigate looks rubbish I can never find what I want if there was a blue print for how not to have your website this should be it utter dog sh1te

without seeing him play it is unfair to judge however if I was given the choice of him at 12m or a couple of 6m centre backs I would go for the defenders all day & everyday it seems clear our problems will be at the heart of our defence

I do like Billy & he knows where the goal is he is good goal poacher however he did not offer much to the team his all round play was not good enough his 2nd touch was a header or a tackle his control & general play is just not up to the Prem I think he is class for the Championship but not a player that will be able to play at a higher level. I can only see him coming back into our side if we go down it is a shame & unfair as he did not get his chance to impress in the prem but imo he was not up to it

I think the empty rows at the front are for the youth team & acadamy lads & they were away at Villa

Enjoyed the game great to tick off the Lamex Stadium I thought Stevenage were a decent side they played very well 1st half & we looked like a side that had never played together 2nd half we sorted it out played well scored some good goals job done another away tie somewhere I havent been would be good fingers crossed for the draw

We have got 4 but not happy that we had to buy them from Stevenage & no loyality points awarded against our Season Tickets you would think that Stevenage away on a Tuesday should generate a few points lets be fair it is going to be the loyal fans that have been away all through our journey in league 1 that go to this game. However I am looking forward to it & it is another tick off the 92 so that can't be all bad COYS

I would not be surprised at all to see NA gone before the end of September I don't think NC see's him as the man to take us on in the prem & I dont think he trusts his judgement on buying players maybe that is why we havent seen the big signings we thought we would get & will need if we are going to stay in the Prem. I like Nige & think he has done a great job & deserves a good crack at the Prem but I have a feeling if we take a couple of hiddings which given our opening 4 games is likely he will get the chop.

I have been a member for the last 4 years & it is true that it has gone down hill during that time there was a rumor that they were going to close it down all together which would have been a shame as it is handy. I have renewed & hope that things improve other than last season the food was always very good with limited numbers it is relatively easy to get served & I can now go in at halftime which will hopefully mean it will be easier to get a halftime pint. We will see if I have wasted my money fingers crossed it has improved on last season

I saw them at the lap stone season before last after the Swindon game I thought they were great

You may well be right about the score I was compltley shot faced, I can't believe I left the 5 2 win at Portman Road off my list that is the best away perfomance from Saints I have ever seen at that game I always believed we would get promoted the fast 1 touch football blew me away a very good day to be a Saint

I doubt many would agree but the 4.1 defeat away at Forest the season we were relegated from the CCC was great 4000 Saints singing non stop despite being already relegated top day out. Wolves when we won 6 0 how unexpected was that Saga hat trick everything we hit went in Wolves singing were going 6 5 then changing mid song to were gonna win 7 6 funny as. Bristol Rovers away Saints win 5 1 Morgan scored it was my mates birthday smashing nite out Play off semi at Pride Park the whole away end went mental when Raza scored great turn out & noise from Saints fans These are to name but a few loved away football the last 3 years supporting Saints has been ace

I was at that game it was a horrific journey to get there & not a performance worthy of such a long trip at the time I did not believe we would be where we are now. What a journey the last 3 seasons have been 3 of the best seasons I have had following the mighty Saints

I think this is a very good move the lad has the potential to be a great centre backs & needs games we must have some experience at centre back for the prem I dont think Fonte is going to be prem standard so I can see us getting at least 2 cntre backs in & off loading Seaborne

I will really miss the Championship it has to be the most competative unpredictable league in the world with half the teams in it in with a good chance at promotion, it is exciting turning up match day not knowing what will happen but having a really good chance of winning & the majority of teams play good football. League 1 will always have a place in my heart in this league we re-discovered our football club genuine fans interesting grounds I loved it & the football was better than I expected & not a plastic in sight long live league 1. Whilst delighted we got back to the promised land of the prem & looking forward to watching us in the top flight I am not looking forward to a relegation battle

As some have already said Ipswich away some of our play was outstanding the best I have seen a Saints play for many years the quick passing & interplay blew Ipswich away & we could have won by a bigger margin top quality at home we played well against Leeds Boro & wet spam but Ipswich was the game I thought we would be good enough to go up

Just can't wait to get down the ground my nerves are shredded have to believe in the boys they have been class all season top 2 since day 1 is a great achivement they have the quality to get the result to get us back to Prem what a massive game. I am going to put the nerves to 1 side & roar & shout & sing my head & just get right behind the team COYS we can do this
