Do you remeber the Steua Bucherest fans in the p1ssing rain jumping up and down and going mental from a hour before the game then the full 90 mins us Saints fans did well but we couldnt match that lot they were mental happy times though things have changed a bit since then I wonder how long before we can get back into euorope if ever

A big shame Murty is a good player and we have missed his Leadership at the back when he's been out if he had of stayed on I am sure we would have gone on and won V Brum towards the end of the season James did ok RB however his is much in midfield we will miss Murty and need a replacement even if a loan

I hope Morgan stays he is a decent player and may well devolp into a very good player he was injured for a fair chunk of last season and we havent seen the best of him but for centre midfield he is way better than Gillett and Wotton and if he is going we will need to replace him the lad is a proper footballer

I dont think Gillet or Wotton are upto to the job and Hammond & Spiderman are much better in centre midfield Wotton had his best game and is still a poor option in the engine room of a team and while Gillet is a better footballer but sorry folks he is to small to be that small in professional football you have to be very very talented and he is not they will both do good jobs as squad players and when called upon will give everything for the team. I think AP isnt keen due to his hieght we were a small side last season and AP is trying to change that in this hurly burly league you have to compete physicaly end of

To be fair he has tested our patience the lad has talent and we havent been getting the best out of him he was pants against Brentford but superb last nite and that is annoying when you know he can produce but dosent week in week out. He showed some great touches and skill quick feet and great goal if this Lallana turns up more often than not i will be thrilled but before last nite I thought we should drop him. AP must have faith in him and if he can learn to couple end product and final ball with his outstanding ability we will have a great player

A very good performance played some lovely football and matched Brum all over the park the boys seemed well up for it hope they can take into the league but cant see us getting the time to play like that in league 1 a FOOTBALL game suites our style and we can play a bit the hurly burly of the lower leagues who knows time will tell. Kelvin 9 some really great saves must be best keeper in our league Murty 8 great game I think it is him we have been missing lead the back four well Perry 7 solid dependable decent defender Thomas 6 did the ugly stuff ugly carthorse but big physical presence in both boxes Harding 8 the more I see of this fella the better I like him good player Melias 7 showed some good touches lightwieght but decent Wotton 7 his best game for us but still gash gave 100 % as always James 7 looks better in midfield would like to see him wide right did well Lallana 9 best game for ages some sublime touches and skill final ball still not there but talented Lambert 8 won everything 1st half proper centre forward shame we didnt give him the service his effort deserved if we provide service from wide he will get bundles of goals feed the Lamb and he will score Saga 7 worked really hard put in a great shift if his heart is in it and he stays could be good for us Keep up this kind of performance and we will do well

I see AP says he is looking forward to the window closing me to the sooner we get shot of whoever is going the better would be great to get 2 or 3 in everyone can see we need somone to provide width and sevice for Lambert and a bit of pace to play up front and make use of the flick on's and knock down's provided by Lambert and some more cover at centre back I am looking forward to having a settled squad and Pardew playing HIS team then we can start to judge how we are doing and if progress is being made

As pointed out Trottman is cup tied which is a shame would be nice for us to get another game with all the new players to give them a chance to gel I think we should stop playing Lallana wide either go 1 up front with lallana in the hole (the only position he can play for me) or drop him to the bench. This is a game were we have nothing to lose everyone expects Brum to win easy so if they do so what but if we can turn them over it would help with confidence hope they take us lightly and play a weakened side who knows it is likely to be more of a footballing game nad we won against them last season playing the kids played very well as I remember so lets have a go at them and see what happens anything that can get our season up and running would be welcome.

I think we need to understand that we are still going through a pre season at the moment a lot of players coming in some obvisously dont want to be here and are waiting to go I for 1 cant wait for the transfer window to shut and then we have a squad to move forward with you cant change a side overnight or change a losing culture and lack of confidence overnight I think we can start to judge AP at the end of September by then it will be his team that are playing with his style of play I like the players he has brought in and believe that he will get them playing well & winning Rome wasnt built in a day it was only a few weeks ago that club was hanging by a thread. Winning 1 game dont make us world beaters the same as 2 draws and 2 defeats dont make us S H 1 T E give the man some time to do his job ffs

I thought he had a great game just the sort of centre back we are looking for big dominant a bit of pace and can also play a bit would be great if we got him permantley also like the fact that AP is trying to get players in with a bit of hieght and physical precence we are going to need it in this league Lambert and Hammond are tall & well built still think we need 1 or 2 to come in and would like to see whoever is going get gone so we can work on some team ethic and get some spirit in the side

Confidence is all our squad needs would like to see a couple more come in and whoever is going get gone so AP can build some togetherness and spirit with the players that have come in and some of the squad that was already here we have enough for a very good side in this league they just need the confidence and belief that comes from winning massively important game tommorow a win and everyone starts believing we can do it lose and the doom mongers will have a field day and it will knock the little confidence the team has PLEASE can we have 3 points and get this season started coyr

I think we need to get a grip on reality and give Pardew some time he is a prem manager and the new owners did well to attract him given our situation his signings so far have been good he knows which areas need strengthening and he needs time so we can see his team the two home performances have been good two away have been poor given time he will get us out of this league maybe not this year but next. Some of us have short memory's a couple of months ago we nearly didnt have a club to support we have been on a massive downward spirall and it takes time to right the wrongs I am sure we are on the right track.

I have to agree Pardew is doing a good job filling the gaps in our side as you say a HMF centre back next please and then someone with pace that can play wide or up front and we have a squad as good as anyones in this league I like the way he is buying players that have the ability to step up to the CCC as well it shows a bit of planning not just knee jerk reaction I think Harding Lambert & Hammond can all do a job a league higher good news COYR

A fatastic turn out for a mid week away game even though it is fairly local there is nothing like a well attend away game Reading and Forest away last season were brilliant for atmosphere a repeat of the Reading result would be more than welcome I cant imagine Swindon have had nearly 3000 for a mid week away support for a very long time get behind the boys and sing em to victory COYR

Wotton is honest and hardworking he hasnt got the talent for centre mid but no-one should boo him or get on his case he isnt under performing he just isnt good enough for that position he should be a squad player that can come in when injuries or suspensions dictate and give 100 % but we need to find a replacement for him Perry is in the same category he gives his all but is to small and to old but a decent squad player who can do a job. Priorties must be Centre back X 2 JPS & Jaidai would be good Centre Midfield Matt Holland/Oakley type player pacey left mid fielder pacey striker let Raza & saga go

So far I have liked what Pardew has said & done and I dont think there is any doubt that he knows what type of player is required before the Lambert signing I was getting twitchy about not having bought anybody but after that master stroke of a signing I have faith we will get at least 1 dominant centre back a centre midfielder with experience and ability and a couple of pacey players. We all know what we need we just need paitence he has said he is close on a couple of signings I am looking forward to seeing who we get I would also kie to see whoever is going get gone Raza 7 Saga maybe once we get a settled squad pulling in the same direction we will be ok.

I would have thought you would have to wrestle Rickie to the ground to stop him having pens top goal scorers dont give up the chance from 12 yards he will be the man

Much as I hate the fish fiddling blue few I hope you get your take over sorted having gone through months of wondering if we would have a club to support I can sympathise a tiny bit there is no doubt you like us over reached financialy I think Harry C*ntflaps had a lot to do with it but having your club on the edge of going bust is no fun. I dont think we need wholesale changes just Perry in for Olly and Raza & Lambert to start up front the lads that have played so far have done well I know it would be a bit harsh to drop Patterson to the bench but Raza looked sharp midweek and he needs to be in shop window to secure the bid that is expected would be nice if he could sign off on a high and bang a couple in & help us get a much neede 3 points. I think it will be a close game I am going for 2.1 Saints COYR

would like to see us back to zero asap as a few have pointed out a good start is a must if we are going to be in the play off mix I have no doubt we are on the right track we must and will strengthen our squad before the window shuts. This is a much harder league than when Leeds overturned a -15 points deduction to make the play offs and will be a big ask but if we can momentum going who knows if I am honest I would accept upper mid table with promotion for next season

I think the reason he got so much stick is he didnt live up to his potential he had a great start to last season and looked a great prospect then got injured and had a massive loss of confidence and frankly did not put enough effort in players you know have the ability and dont do themselves justice are so annoying. He did have a good game and I hope he comes good this season he is a special talent just needs belief to toughen up and get a decent shot on him and he could be good for us this year he certainly owes a decent season after last year lets hope we get it.

Very good player at this level and CCC would be a great signing no unknown quanity we know we would be getting a dominant centre back that can defend I thought he did a great job for us last season and will be very happy if we sign him

I also wonder if we could get Sam Vokes on loan from Wolves I think they have had a few players in and he might be available would be great partner for Lambert
