West End Saint

I have done 27 current league grounds & 38 when you include old grounds national stadiums & grounds abroad. I am going to give doing all 92 a bash but it is slow & steady for me. massive respect to those on here with 50 + grounds that is a cracking effort & fair play to those that have done or are going to do them all

To be fair so was Southend that sort of game couldnt have been wetter without the game being called off but the boys dug in battled really well second half defenisvely we were top notch. There is a long way to go but we are making progress no doubt about that without the - 10 we would be just outside the play offs mid table would do for me this season, if we keep grinding out results the target of out of the relegation spots by xmas is possible. We cant expect to win every game but if we keep going the way we are going we will do ok.

What a trip didnt get home till 3.30 am saturday morning got drenched last time I was that wet was in Romania @ Steua game top performance from team & fans. Lallana was awesome his control & touch on a pitch as wet as that was fantastic second half he ran the show keeping possesion & making them work for the ball mom for me. All our midfield were excellent including Wotton he broke play up really well centre back awesome you just have confidence in these two Harding was good as usual. Lambert & Papa worked there socks off papa was a threat should have scored Lambert won the ball held up play and worked very hard. The second half performance was so good didnt look like giving a goal away looked a threat on the break defended really well. Saints fans were ace AP's Red & White army went on for ages & the Ricky Lambert song took off for ages great away day UTS

The Lambert song was great at Southend I was right behind the goal at the front & everyone round us was joining in best I have heard it at a game. I hope it starts to catch on at home would be great to get everyone singing & bouncing UTS

What a couple of days out that was the Steaua fans were completley mental very impressive the rain was hammering down & they did not stop all game us Saints fans were class aswell great experience. Derby play off semi very proud to be a Saint that day fantastic support Forest last season again very proud to be a Saint fantastic support Watford & Reading last season were good

I was defo not going until yesterday afternoon but then my brother pulled a Rabbit out of the hat & now I am. Not only has he sorted a ticket & train he even phoned her indoors & got me ground clearence what a top lad. Couldnt sleep last night I am 41 & like a kid at christmas so excited about going to the ass end of nowhere to watch the mighty Saints get in lets have it see you there

Dont really know what to expect tonight in terms of team or how many but I am going Saints are at home we are only 4 games from Wembley dont care if it is p i s s i n g down I am going. COYR I really hope we get a confidence boosting win lets have it

Dont know about crutches but I have recently had a operation on my back & found everyone at St Marys more than helpfull they allow me to stand when I couldnt sit down & also sit down at the front where there is more room if you have to keep your leg straight ect. You should be fine as I say they are very helpfull

I am right in thinking we are only 4 games from Wembley in this comp ? we have to be in the top 4 favourites to win it I would think Leeds Charlton Norwich & us. Would be great to go to Wembley again & win something we have to give it a go as we have a more than realistic chance the other teams mentioned might think this comp will get in the way of promotion so come Saints give it a go. Been to Wembley twice to watch Saints F A Cup final v Mancs & League Cup final v Forest would be ace to go again.

I have never doubted his ability talent or workrate the only doubts was how & where he fitted into the team & his end product. Fair play to him & to AP it was clear it wasnt working with him playing wide the last couple of games he has played very well he finished very well on Saturday better finishing on tuesday & he could have had a hat trick. Confidence is a wonderfull thing I hope he has a run & keeps scoring lets hope we see the best of him this season I would like nothing better than to watch the lad come good and get the best out of his natural talent.

I am pleased to say I have more than 1 favourite Lambert the lad is class proper centre forward Morgan fantastic footballer love to watch him pinging passes Harding very good signing love his effort Trottman will be a great centre back he will play in the prem

Great win some very good performances but I thought we played better football against Rovers not that I care 1 jot it is so nice to win well and create chances Lambert mom for me he is a proper footballer I thought he took his goal really well if we can get crosses like that into him he will get bundles of goals. Lallana great game just pipped to mom I have been critical & wondered where he would fit into the team but last couple of game he has been great took his goals very well never doubted his ability or effort & AP has now found where he is effective. Harding & Hammond great signings very good at this level well done to Harding for bouncing back after a poor game Tuesday Trottman & Jaidi great centre back pairing very solid win there headers would be a fantastic deal if we could sign Trottman permenatly fingers crossed it would be well worth NC getting the cheque book out & giving PNE a offer they cant refuse. Mellis fair play to him good game he hasnt been consitent but did well Saturday. Overall so pleased to have points on the board please let this be the start of a run that gets us out of bottom 3 by Xmas.

I agree Lambert is class it seems such a long time ago we had a proper centre forward love watching this guy play we do need someone in to share the holdup & build up play & someone to supply him him with decent service when we have that we will have a great team

You cant deny it has been a bad start on the pitch after 10 games we defo should have points on the board things have to improve quickly as has been pointed out the margin for error is reducing game by game. I still have a feel good factor about our club team manager & fans the owners are fab I like the way AP goes about his business I like the players he has brought in. It seems to me we are so close to being a really good side we have played in patches very well for me our only shortcomings are in wide midfield areas & i truly believe we will sort that out & push on. How fantastic is it that a club that has suffered like us & is still bottom on minus points has the support it has been getting ? I cant be alone in thinking we are so nearly there just hope the fans keep the faith the only way is up change is the last thing we need lets keep faith with AP & his team the good times are coming.

I agree with you width is the problem I think Harding is very good he didnt play well last night but you have to say fair play to there winger who played well I think we are ok at left back & also ok at right back when Murty is back. For me the problem is wide midfield players if we provided the sort of crosses that Rovers supplied last night Lambert would get loads of goals. We have the best striker in the league & are feeding him scraps at this level if you pay a million quid for a player you have to play to his strengths and we are not. Very happy with the rest of the team back four sorted when Murty is fit very good centre back pairing, centre midfield sorted I am well happy with Morgan & Hammond, lambert up front quality. Please AP get someone in to provide the width & we will do well

Well he didnt look like the world beater we hoped he would be 1st touch wasnt all that off side a lot didnt provide any decent crosses but did score. I can rember us slating Bennett from Reading who had a couple of shocking games but then went on to play really well. I hope we will see better from Papa I think we will

Good Post It was a very good game of football I thought we were the better side 1st half and defo worth a point at least they played very well 2nd half but a bit lucky to win. Harding has been my player of the season so far but he got turned inside out by there winger who you have to say played well & Harding didnt have any protection. We played some great 1 touch Football had 3 clear cut chances to score when we were 2.1 up & should have taken at least 1 & killed off the game If we could supply Lambert with the sort of wing play & crossing that Rovers showed last nite we would start to see the best of him. There was a Lot of positive things & a Lot of negative about that performance some individual errors that you have to hope wont happen again. We miss Murty at right back even Thomas would have been a better option we must learn how to hold onto a lead & kill a team off & have to provide better delivery from wide area's. I am sure AP we sort it out we are not a bad side they will get it right just hope it is soon.

We moved about on Saturday was in the Kingsland North 1st half & Kingsland/Chapel corner 2nd half had a great view for both pens. 1st 1 no way was it a pen Saga dived end of 2nd 1 had no idea what the lino had given it for nobody appealed for it very very harsh pen. Do I care ? No get in I say we must have been due some luck felt really confident that Lambert would score them & had Lambert 1st & last scorer & Saints to win 2 0 so a fine result in my book about time I had a win on my bet's.

I agree this is a area that we need to work on I dont rate Lallana for corners no pace on ball often cut out by the Keeper genrally poor. We dont get into the right position to cross the ball & when we do the timing & or direction not good enough. I think James is our best crosser of the ball it was his cross set up Lamberts 1st goal he should take corners & play wide right for me. No doubt AP is aware of our problems & we will see some improvement

The OP's behaviour is completly normall I always shout you Sk8 Basturds at anything connected with Poopey. A couple of years ago walking round Southsea me & my Daughter walked past a park that said SKATE PARK she said is that why we call them skates Dad pmsl. On Saturday at the whole in the wall Waterloo a young lad in a wheel chair was in there having a great time singing Saints songs getting everyone to join in proper nice lad but when ever it went quiet he shouted at the top of his voice you skate basturds it was so unexpected but very funny.

I think we can start to see what is what with the squad & Pardew over the next 4 games. We have had August as our pre season & this month bedding in new players & now I think we should see Pardews team play Pardews way. I do think we have made progress & are heading the right direction I also think he is the man for the job & will get it right. The time is now for the progress to transfer into points on the board if our rehabilitation takes much longer we could get further & further away from saftey. I would like to think over our next 4 games we will be into a + points position and our season will at last be up & running.

If we could get him for 1 million it would be a great buy cant see them accepting that & cant see him wanting to stay with us. The lad can play at a higher level I would expect to lose him in Jan which is a shame he is a great player.
