West End Saint

I did really enjoy the Championship and think it is the most open and competative league in the world more games and a genuine chance of winning every game home or away I do miss it and remember it fondly. The club need to be where we are the standard of football is better and it is good to see the Saints back in the top flight but the prem is going stale despite higher attendances the atmospher is not as good.I went to 15 away last season and other maybe Swansea the home fans were silent & sterile. The prem and the clubs should be looking to Germany how they price there games so the more passionate working class younger fan that are more vocal can afford to go and get behind there team and get the stadium rocking, football on a blank canvas is nothing the fans play an essential part.

Surprised by the number of people that think Ramirez should start on current performance not for me, dont get me wrong I hope he becomes the player his hype, pricetag & the glimpses of brilliance he has shown but at the moment he is not at it. It will be very interesting to see how MP plays Lambo & Osvaldo looking forward to seeing how we line up against Sunderland. I agree with you Morgan is top top class and Wanyama looks like a great signing good sum up of the game

Having seen the game Saturday I think Morgan & Wanyama will be 1st choice at centre midfield not sure where Jack Cork will fit in may well be playing right back against West Brom. I agree that Jack had a great season and him and Morgan worked so well but having seen Wanyama play I was very impressed looks like a great signing. Looking forward to the game it will be my 1st visit to the Hawthorns another tick off the list

I agree we need a keeper I would like to see a new top class number 1 signed, we need a striker urgently if SRL gets injured we are fooked and we need a pacy tricky winger and are deperate for some cover at full back. 5 players short in my book and they need to be quality signings or there is no point if we can bring some top quality to a young promising squad we should be able to push on next season

I have no idea not seen any of them play, it is a worry taking anbody out of Scottish football as the standard is so poor it is very hard to judge how good they are. Ramirez was not the instant sensation we had all hoped for undoubted talent but he was not 12m worth he may go on to be brilliant this season hope so but not counting my chickens. I would agree that we need a striker with pace that can finish however it would be nice to have somebody with some prem experience Remy from QPR would be a great signing or lukaku at least you know that can score goals in the prem.

I went to Stevenage Boro Everton Liverpool Wigan Newcastle Fulham Chelsea Totenham Sunderland Reading and Swansea I was impressed with the numbers we took and how vocal the away support was Totenham and Sunderland being the best. Very disapointed in the home support at all the grounds I went Liverpool being the poorest but all were very quiet apart from maybe Newcastle. I think our away support has grown during our time in league 1 & the Championship gave us a chance to go to new grounds and strengthened our away following I hope it continues for next season

Had a great day out at Sunderland away end was rocking decent away point and safety happy days. I thought Shaw was magnifico today looked like a future England player,very pleased to see Morgan back in the side he was quality and for me has been player of the season. We do seem to of lost a little of our cutting edge not as free scoring but we played well dominated possesion and should have won the game.

A few have mentioned the 0 6 away at wolves that was a great day out and a very strange game we were outplayed wolves missed a pen & everything Saga hit went in good day out. Brighton at the Withdean in the fog 2 2 I think Hammond got a last gasp equaliser but we couldnt see past the half way line what a shocking ground. However the maddest away trip has to be Romania at the steua Bucherest (sorry for spelling no idea) just a mental couple of days getting soaked to the skin in the rain big numbers of Saints fans all smashed and singing but the home fans were mental as well great trip

I will show my support and appreciation for Nige but you can shove your hanky right up your arse I am not having that. Gutted for Nigel it is very unfair but is is not the team or Pochettino's fault & I will be getting behind him & the team COYS

I hope Nigel finds a new job quickly & I am sure he will do well I have really enjoyed watching the Saints whilst he has been in & freely admit I was in the Nigel who camp & gutted when Pards got sacked it is weird that the last 2 managers I have been very sorry to see them go. All the best to him

There is no problem with letting people know what we thought of Nigel but after that we have to get behind the team & the new manager I dont think a situation like the one at Chelsea will help COYS

Very unfair on Nigel you have to say it is harsh after back to back promotions and holding our own in the prem I wish him all the best I hope it dosent implode our seasons I can see a lot of people being very p1ssed off Chelsea have found getting rid of a manager they do want & bringing in one they dont has not exactly worked well NC may well of got this decision wrong big time.

I was not at the game I understand Boruc had a good game however I have seen all the other games he has played & I think he is the worse keeper out of the 3 we have he kicking is awful & I have no confidence in him at all. We desperatley need a new keeper & 2 centre backs if we are going to give ourselfs a good chance of staying up some quality experience & leadership in goal & at centre back would be the making of our team

I think we have to sign a new keeper most prem teams have a top notch keeper & we desperatly need 1 I like Kelvin but I think his best is behind him if we cant get a top keeper in then KD should keep his place until the end of the season I would also be very happy to see a couple of top class centre backs.

Having been to both Everton & Liverpool this season & been amazed at the lack of atmosphere I am in favour of having a standing section with cheaper ticket prices I think a lot of working class fans have been priced out of Prem games & now don't regularly attend games. It is in the interest of the governing body of football to create as safe standing section to encourage the sort of fan that wants to stand and sing at football the game is nothing without the passion & support of the fans & all seater grounds bring a sterile atmosphere to grounds football against a blank canvas is nothing the fans make the game. Sure there needs to be enough seating for those that want it but also why should a fan that is happier standing be paying for a seat they dont want to use just 1 end behind the goal would be ideal & I feel sure it would generate a much more vocal support. I was astounded at Anfield & Goddison by the lack of singing & support from the home fans it was a strange feeling being in a ground packed with 40,000 people sitting down & making no noise I can only assume that the cost of seeing a game is beyond the means of the typical football fan in that area at £42 for a ticket I can understand that. I would be all for safe standing we need to look at the German league which is much healthier than ours they get big vocal crowds charging a fraction of what we pay & do not have the debt problems that blight our leagues.

We owe Reading a beating after letting nick the tittle last season I was gutted we didnt win the Championship it was a quality game last season more of the same but with us coming out on top this time please COYS

I enjoyed the day out & another ground ticked off the list massively disapointed with ourapproach to the game we sat off them way to much & let them play we showed far to much respect when we did win it rather than break a pace we laboured until we lost it. Liverpool should have won by a bigger margin but they were not that good we were poor also very dissapointed with the Liverpool fans shocking atmosphere as quiet as the Everton fans it is wierd being in a stadium that is packed but so little atmosphere I hope Boxing day at Fulham is better

I will always have affection for League 1 I really enjoyed it and I keep an eye on it for me league 1 was 2 of the most enjoyable seasons I have had watching Saints did loads of away games to some interesting grounds. We was having a chat about the JPT last night my brother had dug out a photo from MK Dons 1st leg JPT semi loved the whole JPT experience did every game, Markus's smile at the final, Papa's equalizer v Norwich & lifting the the little kid up who ran on the pitch after winning the penalty shoot out happy days.

If we had of held on for 3 points Saturday I think that would have given Nigel some breathing space but with us only getting a point QPR is massive if we get beat I think Nigel will be on his way. I like Nige & think he has done a great job however somebody is at fault for the signings we have made we have spent a lot of money 4th highest in Europe & I don't think we have bought wisely it seemed obvious we needed top quality defenders & keeper we spent 30 million & didnt strengthen where required that is a huge mistake.

The way we have been defending I may insist on a restricted view

The question should be why the people running our club decided to buy gaston Jay Rod & Mayuka when everybody was aware we needed a decent back 4 & a quality keeper the money we spent on these players would have funded some top top quality defenders & keeper & we would not have the problems we now face. I would glady sell all 3 in Jan if we could get in the quality replacements in defence & in goal

I think we need to bring Kelvin back in it was a little unfair him being dropped not that I think that he is the answer & in the summer I was calling for a new keeper all the prem teams seem to have a top class keeper. Gazza will be a good keeper but the lack of experience will cost us points Kelvin did a good job his time is obviously coming to a end but we need some stability we can't keep changing most teams play 1 keeper all year we need to get a old head in the side I think Kelvin should come back into the team

Other than for the money the Prem brings into the club I would much prefer to see us compete in the Championship, it is a league where every game is a good contest very hard to predict results similar size clubs with similar budgets more games & footy at 3pm on a Saturday what is not to like? I would love to see us really compete in the prem but you cannot not see past 3 clubs for the title the gap is so large I can't see us getting to that level.I would like to see us do a West Brom bounce between the divisions & be financialy secure that would do for me

I have not written Yoshida off he looks like a tidy player very decent with the ball at his feet but having seen all the games he has played he is not dominant in the air he did not look good at right back & he looks a little lightweight maybe with a dominant partner he will turn out ok.I am sure if we were to spend 5/6 mil we would be able to find some top quality centre backs & we desperatley need them. Can't comment on Boruc as he has not played however we should have had a number 1 class keeper at the helm from day 1 this season Rameriz looked quality against Villa but patchy away at Everton & he is not playing centre midfield it is the Davis signing I question who I like & is a good player but has not bossed a game as yet & with Morgan out at Everton we were rubbish in the centre of the park Mayuka has not played wide & we have not seen enough of him & yes I do still think we need a pacey wide player we have been playing Jay Rod wide left???
