  1. Totally different situation to be judged on its individual merits IF it happens!
  2. Do you know what minority means?? Your not very bright are you? It means the oppostie of the general consensus which seems to be in this case that no harm was done so let it lie! I have already procreate... and I am happy that my little girl has a dad that will measure each situation on its merits and not hysterically over react to situation,i also feel this is part of being an adult to make sure the suggested punishment fits the crime..... ... suggesting a 5/6/7/8 year old gets banned from trotting on the pitch! ... what next a hand chopped of for touching a sticky bun? .... tongue cut out for using a naughty word? just live a little man
  3. Is this a fact or just an assumption.... also the demographic for the World cup sees a gaping hole right across the south coast due to the idiots of the town hall not getting their finger out!
  4. I think he only invaded it once??(last night)! I think I prefer them invading the pitch to banging their seats up and down for ninety odd minutes:rolleyes: Seriousily I would not actively encourage it at every game but after watching football for best part of 35 years,I know that sometimes the game can take you over.... its a PASSION,therefore by definiton it can grip your emotions.... And like I have said it is the spirit or the intention of the invasion. No harm was intended by the boy, it is simply a dare or a bit of fun. It is the hysterical over reaction of some of the do gooders on here that is just so unbelievable Put it this way, if we get complete the march to the arch, even it the dulux trophy,I will be that excited I know where I'll be headed....
  5. AP leads us on one of the best runs we have ever been on and he goes down in your estimations!!! one hell of a comment. What is the saying...pride comes before a fall... just give it up , man. You are in a very small minority of people who just can'texcept this is a little bit of 'high spirits'- not a massaive crime. You have massively over reacted and the comment about AP is just outstanding. I expect AP got a couple of descriptive words for you!
  6. Pretty loyal supporter then!! I saw a clip from Leyton orient on SP and thought I saw someone run on the pitch and then back into the crowd... so it looks like he is somehow marking his visits to away grounds by clocking up an appearance on the pitch.... but to be fair still really can't see the harm in it! He's a nipper... and as we all know, we go through little rights of passage... this is his! A little word maybe, anything other that this would be a complete PC over reaction to the situation......thank **** some of you are n't my dad!
  7. Watch Saints Player and see what AP makes of it..... I think his comment was something like 'It made my night, absolutely fantastic'..... i'll go with AP at the moment!
  8. see my editto my original post!
  9. ...And of course people never run on the pitch after an exciting game of football... Northwich Victoria v Charlton? 2009 Players held aloft after the virtory Hereford v Newcastle 70's Sutton v Coventry 80's/90's Saints v Arsenal 2001 West brom v Saints 2008 .... and so on and so on Stewards should be better trained to disguish between joy and Anger - their actions of chasing often just adds to the chaos - The spirit of the invasion can be judged. Personally I'm sure the churches of Southampton will be packed over the festive season with all these holier than thou posters who just see the negative side in everything really brings me down. Hypothetical arguments of 'what would have happened if we had lost' have no place..... what has happened has happened so lets just enjoy the win, the feeling and Papa's genuine good will!
  10. Even after a nights sleep you can't see this as an over reaction? LET IT GO MAN
  11. How excited??....he did n't run on the pitch did he??
  12. I can already hear one of your half time motivational team talks already.... I expect AP is clearing his desk to allow the new saints manager Saint_stevo to take over with immediate effect!
  13. specsavers???
  14. I don't see how your origanal post about banning the kid is an example of a man with good common sense - I was n't there - I'm in wales and listened to it on the radio(saint player) but it did n't seem a big issue to the RS team and you are the only one who made such a draconian point. Boys will be boys and of all the things they get up to nowadays I think running onto a football pitch is pretty forgivable - try to remember some of the things you got upto when you were a kid and I'm sure, that unless you were some kind of choir boy, a rye smile might just creep across your face. Lets just celebrate the win
  15. You weren't at Hartlepool then? or at Tranmere this Saturday when the gaffer put him on to do a job and he done it as asked. I suspect he won't go anywhere in january as AP seems to rate him a liitle.... at the moment I will go with AP'sjudgement against yours as he just seems to have the edge!
  16. But did n't bottle his penalty? but you probably wished he had. You are entitle to say he was crap(today) and slow ... its the GO AWAY that is n't helpful or needed!
  17. If you spent more time watching the penalties that have some massive downer on a 5/6/7 year old you would know.... pay more attention to the game next time!
  18. Steve...its all part of the pressure of being a footballer - either you handle it or you don't. He will have to learn to block things like this out.As you say fortunately it does n't matter. But to be suggesting you ban a five year old kid who has got a little bit carried away/excited/confused is really quite annal and a prime example of why this country is such a mess. The guy has no common sense. I'm thirty seven and still find my self acting the idiot from time to time for a laugh. I guess thats the kid in me - and I guess i come from an era when it was n't against the law to run on the pitch and I can still remember that buzz of excitment on the last day of the season in getting onto the pitch and running around on the place where my hero's play.... perhaps the good news for us is that it seems we now five year olds that have hero's in red and white stripes again!!!
  19. so if you blanket ban it - why not at all sports, cricket, motor racing rugby. not in favour of blanket bans as you end up living in a dictatorship with no freedom of speach or freedom of movement. so because some people 'drink drive we will blanket ban alchol'.... and so on.
  20. Pw has been pretty good the last few times he's came off the bench - we have a good first team squad so don't start picking on people- The team is a very hard to beat unit with a cracking never say die attitude at the moment - just give thanks ffs
  21. Not if Nick H is your manager you don't!
  22. I feel it depends on the spirit of the invasion... for instance last game at the Dell, good hearted and joyus. the season we beat the drop against Sheffield United...no drama's. Any non league giant killing. Nothwich Victoria v Norwich this year and it does n't even get mentioned only in the light that the media love it as it is all part of the atmosphere of the cup. It is another example of taking a sledgehammer to crack a nut. a futile law that is only used when it suits. I went to watch Rotherham at Shrewsbury a couple of weeks ago and had my coke bottle top removed, even though there was about 100 rotherham fans, what is the point of that apart from me ending up with wind as I have drunk my coke to fast! the country has gone nuts when you get ****s on here moaning on a night like tonight about a small kid running on a football field. twists my melon.
  23. Yes - its does because the little five year old lad who wanted to get close to his hero's was going to start a riot! were n't those rules conjured up by justice taylor (that well known footballing authority) who tried to sterilise the game after the Hillsborough tragedy. If not him to stop a load of morons from places such as chelsea, millwall and the like from killing each other. Watch what football was like in the ere of Matthews and that great cup final to see how many jubilent and happy fans spilled onto the pitch.... did n't see any ejections on those clips.... funnily did n't see any trouble either, or any coppers for that matter. Some rules are un neccessary. The running on the pitch one is one of them.
  24. Sheep are fine! nice and warm! Hows Andy?
  25. Why was it wrong.... it never used to be?
