It is a pure and simple case of transparency - I have no hidden agenda and supported and applauded those who organised the event.... but we need to know the final accounts - if it lost money so what at least they tried and bloody hard too, but I feel those that were involved through whichever way have a right to know. simples! ..... defo no Witch Hunt! even if it lost money it helped to keep the cause in the public eye - which could only help with finding the eventual buyer. But the accounts need to be published - end of.

... or they could make her quest of honour at one of the games - roll out the red carpet and give her a good night out. Like you say great PR for the club - the media love that sort of thing!

Went to watch Cov v Monkey Hangers last night at the ricoh and was able to pay £12 on the gate cash - nice and easy no fuss or bother. So why can't we do this for some games. Although once in side it was a cash less stadium so my sky blue mad mate told me?? - was impressed with how much more light and airey the concourse was. Also the selection of beers looked better- and it had a wimpey bar!!

There surely must be an easier way than queing at the ticket office to buy aticket, before going to the turnstile to get in?? Firstly this game should have been chucked into the season ticket bundle along with JPT games - I'm sure the club would get the tenner back in beer/Pie sales alone. Plus extra revenue from merchandise in the shop. I'm working away at the mo and might not get back in time but queing to get a ticket at the box office just puts me right off - just some old boy in the turnstile taking a tenner of you..... simples!

Get over yourself man!! - Get in the real world will you.

Still not sure that 'they came to the rescue' The gas works was a contaminated land site - SMS got one mess off their plate.

Just wish it was the football World Cup and we were one of the stadiums penned in for that - It is a boost for the much run down city that we live in. Hopefully the council might find some inspiration from 2012/2015 to finally get its collective finger out of its hole and sort the following messes out: 1) Ocean Village 2) Western Shore 3) Town Quay/Pier/Mayflower Park 4) Old tyrrell and Greens site 5) Vospers Site 6) Spitfire memorial 7) Meridian Site THE ICE RINK 9) Swimming Pool Closures ...... and the list goes on All we have in southampton is a grade footy stadium and due to the councils inability to organise a **** up in a brewary we nearly lost that. I expect a "major project think tank" has been set up to produce a leaflet for lesbian kurds that dont speak english to help them with understanding the event so they don't feel left out!!! but at least we have IKEA!!!

It would have been impossible to fully support another club Would have looked out for the results of a few other clubs like Stoke where I went to university. Probably would have gone down the non - league route. Also everyone has a scottish side so would have become more involved with following the fortunes of the blue brazil!!!

A lot of the problems of last season was an in ability to alter the system we played - playing one up front at home was just not the way to go - It worked away from home where you are looking to hit teams on the break but it was certainly not the way forward at SMS. Already AP has used two banks of four at home with the orthodox two up front. Having a new manager allows all players to have a clean slate and impress a new man - its like we have a whole new team anyway now the manical shackles of RL have been thrown to the wind so lets give him and the new board a little bit of time to make some assesments. We also have the best keeper in the division by far so there is no need to panic.

Steve Basham anyone??

.... OK, Ok, Ok - I know there will be the inevitable "Leave it alone - its all in the past reaction" but just for transparancy are the accounts of the event going to be published or have they been and i missed them??? Ears pinned back and ready for the responses Thanks

Did you go then??

... And what is it worth without us the fans??? I think it is better for unity's sake that it remains OUR CLUB!!!

EXACTLY! - The guy has only been in the job for a week - initially he probably just wants to see what quality he has in what positions and then he will start bringing in new faces. .... some people on here are absolutely unbelievable! (I will leave it for KP Turner to correct grammer and spelling!)

I'm in! Payed me money! - How about we go for first dibs on the first new signing for AP - or even go for AP himself with a match worn shirt signed by the whole squad? At least that would show the new gaffer that we are 100% behind him as we march on! -
Interesting though that Eastleigh council can find £35m and Southampton Council couldn't find a poxy £12.5m to keep the club going!! I guess at least Eastleigh appreciate how important a top notch sporting venue is to an area - where as Southampton City Council has absolutely no vision what so ever.

Great idea..... Ladysaint...... I'm in!!!! Where do we sign up then???
-
Hope the new manager is going to bring in some fire power gaffer - as we sure as hell are going to need it!!!

Hopefully this will need no introduction to the new owners as the previous regime didnt have time to sort it out last season!!!! I cant be there tomorrow but hope they have a good and positive turn out. Well done Stu - good post!!! Would like to see the club donate a few tickets to our returning heros as a way of showing them that however pointless their task, their endeavours and bravery is thought about and appreciated. I dont agree with what we are doing there and it breaks my heart to see all these young kids laying down their lives for an operation whos benefits still really cant be clearly identified but I think a few tickets would nt go a miss. -
