I think it is a decent enough selection with every choice justifiable. Obviously it favours the modern day players who people have actually seen play. Pre-dates me by some way, but based purely on reputation, Stanley Matthews probably deserves a mention. Of more modern players, i'd have gone for Stuart Pearce rather than Ashley Cole. Gerrard, Scholes & Bryan Robson must have been close.

I assume that he'll be available to play for Saints in the second half of the season.

Agree. I've always liked Gary Imlach, and Paul Sherwen and Phil Liggett are excellent. I'm not sure David Millar adds much. Eurosport's coverage on the other hand drives me nuts with Carlton Kirby's over-excited drivel, fairly shoddy production and overly-long format. That said, fair play to them for covering cycling for the rest of the year as well.

For the Murphy interview, I thought he did well not to bite when faced with a provocative line of questioning.

No, I am enjoying not having to deal with the stress that a relegation battle brings. Plus we still have a good chance in the FA Cup.

I took my four year old to his first game v Burnley. Family enclosure was great, with plenty of space (it will no doubt be the same v Yeovil), and no problems with language or behaviour. He did get a bit bored and spent half the time playing on his LeapPad, but I think that he enjoyed himself overall.

Pretty much this. Yoshida has been particularly unlucky this season. He made a big difference when he came in last year, and has only been kept out by the excellent form of Lovren & Fonte.

Looks to me like the top 4 has become a top 3 (Chelsea, Utd, City), with the rest scrapping over fourth. I'd still back Arsenal to take 4th spot though.
