Very good gesture by the club and Mr Cortese.

Markus Liebherr RIP. All tributes here please.

Truly shocked Goodbye 'big fella', and rest in peace Sincere condolences to family and friends -
I thought we looked quite good in the first half with some excellent crosses into the box. Shame we couldn't finish Second half - one chance to them, they score. One chance to us, goalkeeper saves from Lallana. Hey ho

Saints twitter - Lambert injured, along with Lallana, Puncheon and Spiderman

Looks good to me. Great that it has no sponsors name on it.
-
Great signing. Presumably negates any talk of Dan Harding going to RB slot.
-
The bookies usually get it pretty much correct when it comes to the Saints. I just hope the trend continues this next season
-
Good news. Just a bit worried about his long term groin injury . If he stays fit he will be a really good striking option this coming season. Stiil think we need another forward, though

St Etienne interested in Schneiderlin
Painswick Saint replied to forever a red and white's topic in The Saints
If the story is true (it is the Sun, after all) - St Etienne are Ligue 1, and the draw of that vs. another season in English League 1 may be too strong, especially in view of the comments made by the French under 21 manager about him playnig in English League 1 I doubt we would let him go for a million pounds, though. Didn't we pay Strasbourg 1.5 million Euros for him ? -
Watched when I got back home- got as far as their third goal and then deleted it!

If Stern John features tmrw, what reaction he is likely to get?
Painswick Saint replied to shurlock's topic in The Saints
Stern John was a good player for us. I will never forget his goals in the last match of the season against Sheffiled United, that kept us up. Was poorly treated by the Lowe regime the following year. Deserves a bit of respect IMHO As for Keane, I will also never forget his taunting of the Saints fans when we were relegated , again the last match of the season, having just been beaten by ManU. Keep the abuse for him me thinks -
Dunno if this has been mentioned but...

Death wish. me thinks -
Luton will be no push over. Saw them play Forest Green earlier this sesaon, and they are really quite good for a Blue Square Premier team. They will be up for it, big time. If we play a weak team, I suspect this could be a very humiliating defeat
-
That was a very good result - lets keep this momentum going
-
Second year academy. I think he plays on the wing
-
Charlton 2 - Saints 1 Hope I'm proved wrong ,though, and Saints get their first league win of the season

Saints 2 - Colchester 1

Stockport vs Saints - 1st Half updates/discussion
Painswick Saint replied to Thorpe-le-Saint's topic in The Saints
Thank goodness for that -
Saints 2 - Brentford 1

Rumoured that Norwich want the S****horpe manager. I can't see AP leaving at the present time
-
Huddersfield 1 - Saints 2

I thought he had a very good match yesterday, although he fatigued significantly as the second half went on. Some of his passing was superb. My worry is that his style of play may not be suited to League 1 - I would love to be proved wrong, though

Saints 1 - Millwall 1

How many players do you think we will sign tomorrow?
Painswick Saint replied to Ashley Grute's topic in The Saints
I would be very happy if we were to announce 2 new signings before the QPR match - not sure I can see it happening, though
