Appalling show of grace from the Club and some fans
Painswick Saint replied to jasonb's topic in The Saints
Mark Clattenburg - what was it he was alleged to have said to Lallana during the Everton match ? - 'you are very different now, since you've played for England- you never used to be like this'. Methinks he was probably correct in that one -
If true - Forest Green Rovers to Leeds United. Quite a step up !

Very good article

If ..Pompey go out of the League before May...
Painswick Saint replied to david in sweden's topic in The Saints
In think it is very unlikely Portsmouth will be liquidated before the end of the season. The payments from the League seem to likely negate the chance of that happening. If we do go up, I hope it is down to us, and not our friends down the M27 having their results for the season expunged -
saints to win race to sign Jamie Vardy
Painswick Saint replied to alderholt saints's topic in The Saints
Saw him play yesterday for Fleetwood against Forest Green Rovers. Looked good for a Blue Square Premier player, but there is a massive gap between the 'conference' and the Championship. As has already been said, strange if true, especially at the age of 25 -
Many thanks for adding the points manually

Still not working Saints 2 - Forest 1

Not working for me either

Morgan, Jack Cork or Jos Hooiveld. I thought Steve de Ridder had a good game , as well. Overall, Morgan Schneiderlin

Only the once - FA Cup, January 1984. Brilliant day. The skates were throwing coins at the southampton team, and banana skins at Wallace. As Lawrie Mac said to the press the following day, 'we came away with a bye into the next round, two and six in loose change and half a pound of bananas'.

First was never a penalty Second was a bit iffy I thought the ref. failed to give a stone wall penalty against Rickie Lambert in the second half At the end of the day the best team won

Good player in his day - at present injury prone, wage demands too high, and likely disruptive influence on squad. Thank you, but no thank you

I think he's landlord at the Black Bear in the High Street, Moreton-in-Marsh

Saints 3 - 1 Leeds, Post Match Celebration
Painswick Saint replied to Cascadia Saint's topic in The Saints
I agree. At times Leeds defence really looked all over the place and, other than Gradel, they did not look very threatening going forward. That aside, I thought we played some excellent football, and if they are one of the better teams in the league, we have an exciting season in front of us -
Good - very good

Chaplow - signed a 2 and a half year deal - OFFICIAL
Painswick Saint replied to SuperSAINT's topic in The Saints
Chaplow is a good signing. I just hope the relatively low price does not reflect some doubtful fitness issues. He does seem to be rather injury prone -
Enjoyable, but seems a bit contrived recently. Will be interesting to see if they follow up on the birth of 'baby Stig' ,though
