Here you go Rev Saint - HTH
-
Keep up Badger, not tolerating errors made by school boys makes you "a bit of a tool".
-
haha I hold a different perspective so I'm a WUM - give me a break. Didn't we stop City from doing the quadruple? Not sure you're making much of a point here. Possibly a little bit bored but I'm a lover not a fighter.
-
Agreed, the road is a lot rockier than I'd hoped for but equally I'm not massively surprised. Those comparing us with Leicester and Leeds have a point, even though we went down together we were down at Christmas (albeit not mathematically): Leeds and Leicester were fighting much longer than us and so I think the rebuild is greater with us than those 2 teams. Leicester do look really good, I'm not convinced by Leeds, yet.
-
Ouch, pass the Savlon
-
Yeah I'm all fired up.
-
Yeah cos RM has just been called "a bit of a tool" rolley eyes. I assume you're one of those not "tolerating errors at schoolboy level" types - aka a bit of a tool - tut tut rolley eyes
-
Think I wrote injured players but fair play to you, you've called out 2 very significant players for us. Not "tolerating errors at schoolboy level" unfortunately for you doesn't reflect greatly on your character. You seem mightily angry for a football forum or you're just a bit of a tool.

If you expected things to be right from day 1, day 30 or day 130 then maybe that needs an adjustment, we've had a shit 2 years, most of it not JW or RM's fault. Improvements won't happen without mistakes being made along the way. Sure questioning / debating decisions is absolutely fine but maybe some on here need to consider if they would say the same to the faces of JW and RM that they are willing to type on here. The personal stuff isn't really that funny and just a bit unnecessary. It's healthy to have someone with an opposing view, doesn't mean I nor you are right, with that in mind please forgive me if decide not to go elsewhere.

Suggest you re-read my post and have a cup of tea, decaffeinated.

Seriously, some of the posts on here are horrific. Aligned very closely to an entitled, I want it now trait that will stifle most chances of this club being able to rebuild. JW and RM may or may not be the people to turn our club around but they are the ones currently with the opportunity to do so and I believe should and probably will be given the time to prove they are capable . It’s still, just about, September, and we’re entering a couple of months where a team that is rebuilding and with (fingers crossed) injured players returning that we should start to see results and performances improving. Football, as it is these days, will need this group of players to develop a trenches mentality, a fuck you attitude to those who are pouring scorn on their ability to operate as a team capable of hitting the top 6. I think the team are capable and genuinely hope JW and RM can lead them. Having said all that; I’ve got my SaintsWeb bingo card ready and waiting on for a full house: pony, Lego head, hipster, algorithm, claptrap, Janny B, called-it-when-he-was-appointed, deluded, over-complicate, emperors-new-clothes

You don't need a fucking unkempt beard and a pint of vegan beer in your hand to know what an algorithm is. Clue: it's not a jeffin' spreadsheet. And for the love of Christ, the proof isn't in the pudding!! For all the shit you do write (not all that you write is shit) if you're going to use a bullshit phrase at least use it correctly.

Most teams these issues do result in a drop in form, mostly that would be accepted too. Over a season, unless you are exceptionally unlucky, these things even themselves out. Feels a tad harsh to judge after 7 games.
-
McKenna wasn’t an instant success, it took an incredible run of 13 wins from the last 15 to gain promotion last season.
-
Is that seriously a comparison you’re looking to draw here??
-
Press conferences are nearly as bad as post match player interviews. A tedious, fucking waste of time, the only beneficiaries are the sponsors logos in the background.
-
Awesome maths skills. The L column is less than the W column, not bad considering the stench from the bed sheets. I’m repeating myself but if we stay in touch till Christmas we’ll be in a good place to kick on. I’m not writing us off after 2 poor performances.
-
You mean the P6 W3 D1. The table doesn’t lie, or does it??
-
I’m guessing Forest was before your time as a Saints fan.
-
2 bad results and all the beds are well and truly shat.
-
Before the game against Leicester we were 2 points behind them, so despite us being in the process of transforming our playing style we're not far that off the favourites to win the league. Things are a little bleak at present; but if we can continue to stay in touch, get a fully fit squad back including Ross Stewart and the plan starts coming together we could be stronger for it.
-
All strength to you, Whitey and your family at this sad and difficult time.
-
My original point, possibly badly made, was countering the suggestion that the Leicester coach got his tactics spot on. He didn’t have too, we laid it on a plate for them with our inability to keep the ball under the slightest bit of pressure. KWP is an excellent full back, I doubt many have looked at him and thought he could play in midfield. The best inverted full backs are those that can receive and retain under pressure, classic midfielder traits. THB and Charles as CBs having just been introduced to each other following international break was brave to say the least, especially coming into a team that were subject to a drubbing the game before. Was Holgate injured? Removed from the firing line to such an extent that 2 youngsters were preferred? How does he come back from that. I really want RM to succeed as his football does have the potential to excite (in the right way) but maybe the players are not ready for the challenges being set.
-
It’s not tactics, it’s elementary errors in ball possession.
-
Not really. Leicester were not “set up to take advantage” we failed to keep the ball, most formations would’ve been sufficient of that.
