We were really, really fucked 15 months ago, on and off the pitch. We’re still work in progress, which may include a change in playing philosophy but more likely a tweaking rather than anything transformative.
-
Fernandes for sure. Dibling looks like he needs some time to be Premier League fit, he should be getting game time but in my completely untrained eye he looks a bit off being able to complete 90 minutes in this league. He will get there, equally he, hopefully, has a long career ahead of him too.

Please forward the possession stats, xG and number of touches in own penalty area for these games. Ta.

I think If United come to us and try and aggressively press us then I don’t rate them to be organised / arsed enough to cause us the same amount of problems as Brentford did.
-
Not sure it matters but best chance with Ipswich. From what I’ve seen there’s not much to choose between the Mancs at home and the Muff away.
-
We will have 4 points after those 3 games.

That was a good read, cheers for sharing

The Manner and Style Police want a word…

Where do you think, trousers?
-
Even if we win those handful of games??

I think a lot of this is in your head. Just because some posters call out the bed shitters doesn’t mean they are ignoring the pragmatic posts.
-
I could be wrong, I'm not on here monitoring who's posting when but... I get the feeling there are some posters who only seem to be active when the chips are down. Obviously... this isn't pointed at anyone, clearly.

Semantics and rather boring but as you asked…. “the theory…” is somewhat different to “a theory”.
-
So not a theory then, you made it up. Cool 😎
-
It might be true but more likely click bait. Don’t feed the baiters!!!
-
Come on Derry, you’re smarter than that. The “theory” was attached to Russell i.e. he’s cleverer than most, not your opinion on Stephens.
-
Brentford are one of the most aggressive pressing teams in the league, it’s a huge part of their strategy. It doesn’t always work for them, they go on runs of defeats too.
-
Is this a theory that you’ve concocted?
-
I’m extremely confident that there’s a chance that mistakes may not be seen as often…
-
I think there’s a chance that the mistakes we have seen in the 3 league games so far may not occur as often going forward. Time will tell.

Which users were they?

Agreed, that’s why I’ve thought for quite some time that your nickname should be Splinters not Trousers. 😉 Opinions are like arseholes… and I’m not saying that in a condescending or scoffing at way, because if you knew me you’d know that’s not my style. I do find the extreme versions of opinions laughable and probably waste more of my time on them than I should. Equally I’ve been called some very unpleasant things on here, that doesn’t bother me in the slightest, I’d rather engage in a way of mutual respect but that’s not always the case.

One below expected performance level v Forest, disappointing that was at home to a possible relegation rival. Some piss poor ball retention in crucial areas where we were punished and some sloppy finishing. The starting XI is evolving to a point where we could see Ramsdale, ABK, Sugawara, Taylor, Ugochuckwu, Cornet, Lallana, Archer and Diaz (although formation may dictate otherwise 🤔😂). This number of changes would take some time to bed in to any team, no matter what the philosophy / style of play. Give it a chance. It’s been 3 games. We’re going to have to stay positive to give this team the opportunity. Awaits the hilarious riposte of “thanks Russ” or “is that you Lucy?”

Except when “you get away with it” as so many here state whilst pissing on last season’s achievement.

I like this version of Charlie… and to add to the points… that fucking dog shit pass from Stephens followed by him taking Jan’s space was such a basic, fundamental error that it would’ve been punished in pretty much every level of football, not just in the Premier League.
